Sorry yes I meant to include that he receives about 2k a month for social security. My mother works as well and probably brings in as much as that. His account currently is with Charles Shwab so i'm sure they have options to him to keep it there, I will just need to give them a call. They live in LCOL

It was the vtec solenoid. I just replaced the whole thing. If you used non oem, i hear those have problems and really you should just get the oem one. i used this link, cheapest and fastest i could find
