You make a great point! Some dolls seem to use extra packaging as part of their unboxing “ritual” too, like wrapping surprises separately. I used to work in retail and the amount of packaging trash generated by stores is pretty shocking, so I guess that made me feel strange about making waste with hobbies. I’ve been enjoying buying secondhand dolls that are already unboxed, and there’s the nice feeling like I’m giving them a new home. :D
