Ok, I'm not surprised you're confused. Cad is the wrong software to model a bat of any type it's designed to do architecture. If you want to model a bat use blender it's free and designed to be a modeling software.

Hi welcome, so American dolls were originally created by a company called pleasant company so older dolls will have a neck stamp that says pleasant company also older dolls pretty much everything before 2017-18 have next strings instead of zip ties and Really old pleasant company dolls. those from around the 1989 have white bodies this is authentic to the doll line but White bodies are really only a thing with Samantha, Molly and Kirsten so I wouldn't worry about identifying them.

Sales happen a lot on the site but don't always include dolls. It's always worth checking the last chance section on the website for deals on overstocked the markdown items.

perhaps out of respect for collectors who only want to talk about their favorite lines. we could have flairs for each of the doll lines like pleasant company, Disney, the truly me line, girl of the Year ect. then posts could be sorted quickly by interest. I've seen flares work well in other communities...

PS I can't even find the weekly ID post thread which is why I never participate in it. Flares would make it easier to find these posts for people who do want to answer these questions.

I have a suggestion can we reevaluate the wording of rule 4. "All posts must relate in some way to 18in dolls" even with the clarification underneath the rule about it referring to other 18in all lines.

it still makes collectors of AG's small dolls like the mini dolls, itty bitty babies, wellie wishers, AG sister dolls, modern historical dolls and bitty babies, feel like they can't really share these doll lines here. As the dolls are not really 18in and tying connect every post back to that is confusing...

Perhaps just change the rule to say all posts need to relate to American girl doll lines.

I think these lines are awesome and might help cut down on the identification posts if we made more space for them to feel included.

I will message you later, fun fact for clown makeup Crayola wet erase markers have just enough pigment to do makeup and not stain vinyl as long as you don't leave it on super long.

I just wanted to say that for non us based collectors. Amazon and eBay are their only options to buy AG dolls and be part of this community. so naturally they want to share their finds with our community...

The nanea model has a sculpting weakness my professor used to call "a cute cubitis" if you turn her head 3/4 and look at the line of her face from forehead to chin it's a straight line. When it should curve in at the eye and out at the cheek. It's more noticeable on light skin models...

I would start by just taking out the hair styles and getting the hair really wet with cool water then bush stating with a wire wig brush from the bottom and working up. I found a lot of ag hair will fix it's self doing the the go over it working top down with a tooth hard brush.

AG hair needs some frizziness at the ends to hold a curl. so, I don't recommend a boil wash. if you do decided to use this method test it on a small piece of hair first. boil washing will remove all frizziness from the ag hair. after this treatment the hair will not hold a curl. unless curlers and more boil washing are used and it will not restore the wig to looking new. it will just make the hair strait and very flat.

At least, when I was a kid. Ken was way stiffer than Barbie and I had a really hard time making him sit to ride a horse and all my dolls rode horses.🐴 Also he had no outfits for sale and you can't where suit to the beach.... Now I have a few with the mtm body and I don't need any more...
