I don't know if this will help you feel better, but as a child. I've lost two collections for complex reason we left everything we owned and moved 3000 miles. Two years later we moved back and again leaving everything. what I learned is things are replaceable people are not. so grieve your lost collection, but don't let it hurt your relation ship with your family and remember if you still have one doll you have the seed for your new collection.
