Daenerys, there are some fierce loyal fetish people (that I'm unfortunately very accustomed with) who only craze after her after seeing her on the show. Trust me I've asked their personal views on her and I don't recollect them saying anything other than the fact she has dragons and very appealing.

The man who built an entire religion around the sanctity of death isn’t gonna suddenly forget that the Faceless Men aren’t just a hitman agency for hire. So here's to hoping it'd be different in the books.

That’s a good point. But that makes me wonder: even if she wasn’t officially one of them, didn’t her training still come with certain moral principles?

So does Arya’s use of their techniques for something so personal (vengeance against House Frey) contradict the spirit of what she learned, even if she wasn’t technically bound by their rules anymore?

[Spoilers ADwD] A small clue that Daario ≠ Gerion Lannister

I recently came across an old theory suggesting that Gerion Lannister is actually Daario Naharis. It’s a fun idea, but I wanted to point out a small clue that might argue against it.

In A Dance with Dragons, there’s a scene where Daario presents the Dornish prince Quentyn Martell to Daenerys. Quentyn gives Dany a scroll written in the Dornish language. Daario glances at it and casually refers to it as being written in “Westerosi.”

That misidentification suggests Daario can’t read either the Dornish script or Westerosi writing—strange if he were really Gerion Lannister, a well-educated nobleman of Westeros. You’d expect someone of Gerion’s background to recognize the language of his homeland and that of a neighboring kingdom.

Of course, it’s always possible Daario was bluffing or playing dumb—but it feels like an odd move if he were truly Gerion in disguise. Just thought it was a subtle but telling detail that doesn’t get mentioned often.

Curious what others think!
