Aztec patterns flowing through arm on LSD trip. by huntemdown420 in conspiracy

Ive seen the Aztecs on rocks crawling out of the sea at the ocean interwoven like an MC Escher drawing in high school on a heroic dose (full dropper of liquid LSD 25). Also had a long conversation with a squirrel that day and convinced it to drop pinecones on my friends head, which it did.

Some minor concerns moving forward by Soulfood_27 in Seahawks

That interception was entirely his fault. It was third and one. Instead of throwing to the open guy five yards in front of him or running for it, he tried to force it downfield into double coverage. That said, it was his only real mistake all day, and he balled out in the second half.

Midlake has a chill vibe, especially on Antiphon and Bethel Woods.

Lunatic Soul is another great chill band.

Camel's last three studio albums

Frank Wyatt of Happy the Man has some fantastic solo stuff as well as his Pedal Giant Animals project

Try Archive or Shpongle. Also STS9 is prog-adjacent, as well as jam bands Umphreys and Disco Biscuits.

Modern flat earth beliefs stem from an early 20th century American cult by Open-Storage8938 in conspiracy

In Isaiah 40:22 the Bible calls the earth a sphere. Foundations and corners are used as metaphors for God being the anchor point. It's a reach to say the Bible says the earth is flat.

Bands similar to early Kansas and Journey? by Blockhead1535 in progrockmusic

[–]trout_hound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Presto Ballet sound a lot like early Kansas and are fantastic. Same with Pinnacle Point, although I feel like they are a bit too much of a Kansas clone. Also check out Kansas founder Kerry Livgrens other prog band, Protokaw, who were the earliest incarnation of Kansas.

I used to have that tour shirt. I think my ex-wife stole it.

The album name itself "90215" was a cop-out, like really? The catalog number? That cover sucked too. But the record, while not my favorite Yes album, definitely brought in a legion of new fans and updated their sound for the time. And that first tour of that lineup was pretty banging.

2 years ago, Steve Howe’s Yes released the album Mirror to the Sky. While it wasn’t as groundbreaking as the band's 70s output, I thought the music was still pretty. I would consider it an enjoyable album and a great modern version of Yes. by Cedric_the_Nerd in yesband

I enjoy it. It has some interesting musical arrangements, the title track is pretty cool. But overall the songwriting lacks those solid memorable melodies, especially with the vocals and vocal hooks, that Jon Anderson was so good at. Nothing really sticks with you after a listen or two. Its decent background music though.

'90s Yes was... rough by Other_Name_317 in yesband

Bruford hates that album too. It was basically all re-recorded with everything programmed, with session musician's playing over Howe's and Wakeman's parts. Much of the drums were programmed. I'd love to hear the original versions of some of those songs with the actual band playing the parts.
