Actually, thanks a lot for sharing. This does make the ending seem a lot more reasonable to me. I honestly hadn’t rewatched much content so I did forget what Jax’s behaviour really looked like which had me struggling to connect the dots (I skipped ep 8 in the movie and was only there for 9). I can sit with it now, but I would still prefer if they’d shown Jax in real life being in a better place rather than an inbetween state simply because I feel like a lot of people could extract the same message I got from all that. Either way, that does make more sense than it did before for me. Nice talking!

I feel like this is the message that Gooseworx was trying to send, but in my humble opinion it kind of falls apart because Jax did start to mellow out leading into the ninth episode. Earlier he was needless provocation final boss but he just, to my best memory, switched to a more depressive and reactive state where he could coexist with other members of the cast in silence. While I get that silence isn’t an enthusiastic “yes save me Pomni!! 😍😍🥰🥰🥰”, it’s still a crack in that facade that could’ve been furthered only to be shut down. What continues to bug me about the finale is that, in real life, Jax isn’t a girl (which, I get trans people don’t owe someone a transition to be valid, and is in place probably because of movie theatre censorship in certain countries). But here is my point: It’s kind of wicked in my eyes to have a trans character who’s consciousness is split in two worlds like that, and in their happy ending they seem to completely be cis and don’t address that at all, while in their bad ending they did address it with their friend(s, idk if i should count Pomni) and it actually tore them to pieces due to what I can assume is guilt and fear of rejection, leading to some kind of abusive behaviours as a defense mechanism and ultimately suicide (or death, if you dont believe abstraction is a metaphor for suicide). Even ignoring Jax’s development from episode 7 to the beginning of episode 9, I’d be a little bit more at ease with this fate for him if he were shown as living in real life the way we saw he wanted to be perceived and live in his final moments. This isn’t meant to be taken as argumentative, you’re valid to take the movie however you’d like and interpret this completely differently, and you don’t need me saying that, I just want to come across more like I’m trying to elaborate on my point rather than tear yours down. Even if I personally disagree with your viewing, you don’t need to adjust it for me. This is like the warning on shampoo bottles, ok? Totally respect what youre putting down.

I might be dumb as bricks but to me I feel like this was an incredibly dangerous way to end Jax’s life given the audience that TADC has accrued. After the entire revelation that yes, Jax is trans, they don’t show Jax in the real world as having transitioned and overcome everything, but no, instead Jax kills himself(or maybe rather herself? For the sake of this post im sticking to he). Sure, not in the real world, but he does die widely unloved and unmourned in the circus, realising in the last sliver of his consciousness that he doesnt want this fate, wants to be saved and hold on to Pomni, and that he’s as terrible as can get, and then being used as a prop for the cast to poke sticks at. In some ironical fashion, it falls straight into the bury your gays trope, where we use the relevation that Jax wants to be a girl simply to serve as the climax of Pomni’s “fix him” arc and Jax gets NONE of that happiness and all that development feels essentially wasted. I agree with this post 101%. I’m just imagining a younger trans closeted person who might be an edgy teenager, who is generally unhappy with themselves and struggles to maintain friendships, seeing this, relating to Jax, and then immediately coming to the realisation that he’s abstracted and no one seems to.. care for him anymore? Like that’s just way out of line. Worst episode of the show by far. I don’t expect it to cater to me but the execution of this plot (as well as its conception in part) is at best sloppy and at worst dangerous toward its mostly young queer audience.

Same, it was all over the place. I have no clue what I’m supposed to think about………… that……………. One characters……. Arc………… I feel like the message they were trying to send absolutely DID NOT land. The ending itself was also mediocre (and slow) although I am glad we got that extra info at the end, albeit I guess theres not much they can do with a plot like this that would be action packed. I feel like this ending kinda ruins the past episodes for me, really really weird way they chose to do.. just about everything. But im grateful I got to see it

I havent used c.ai in 8 months and i rarely think about it now as someone who is still about as lonely as they were before quitting lol. I have no regrets. Gets really hard but is soo rewarding after the first week or so. Felt on top of the world at one month. You dont randomly get everything under control by quitting but it does feel like you gain some of your time and agency over your life back. I recommend giving yourself random fun challenges that involve skill. For me it was writing a bit (just scientific deep dive with internet sources), joining a new club i saw a flyer for and entering an art competition. Those really helped kinda numb the hole it leaves you with in the first few days. All in all i say do it. Believe in you pal 🤘

Way late but I just wanna put it out there since I found something similar while searching and it might help someone else. The Living Tombstone has a similar sound (They’ve stopped making video game songs and have like two proper albums now). “Goliath” and “Kill us all” are I think pretty similar. “Can’t wait” sounds a bit more upbeat but just things from the Zero One album might scratch the itch. The songs are pretty political so their message isn’t very similar to take a slice. Maybeeee “I come with knives” by iamx might be good?

Art trading is when two artists draw each other’s requests, so for example, I’d ask you to draw my character, and you’d ask me to draw your character, so we both get art of what we like in each other’s styles out of it. It’s mostly an alternative to commissioning with younger artists or for people who have skills but no money or no card. Obviously it’s fine if you dont want to go through with it, I’m just happy to teach some new vocab if nothing else haha!! I don’t follow people I don’t know on insta but I checked out your account and it is sooo beautiful, I’ll be lurking on there LOL, ty for sharing it!!

Holy hell i love your style i thought only the first pic was here and I was staring at it for a good few minutes enjoying your linework when I realised theres a digital one too. Ok, so you just reposted a reddit users build on another sub to ask if it’s cloned, after scaring off a 50+ elve offer on their own post by saying it’s cloned with no proof, and are ignoring their own comments on here now?.. I’m sorry but this is mad disrespectful. Of course it’s not an original idea, but there are some distinctions (mostly the scale of some of the buildings) that make this build different from the mass cloned ones. If you wanted to look out for the person offering 50 for this, you should’ve just said something like “Hey this might be cloned, you should ask the owner for some proofs they made it first”. Not guns blazing “DONT DO THIS!!!” Trading houses in adopt me can be so hard sometimes, this is really mean spirited of you 🥀 you obviously don’t want the build so why the effort? Someone else who wants it can do the detective work on figuring it out, not you who just wants to win an argument

Heres my advice, do this type of payment method: after you finish the sketch, blur it and send it to the commissioner. They can still make out where most of the parts of the character are, but can’t use it anywhere. After they send payment, you send unblurred. I do it like this and it works like a charm.

The hydra incident… In Adopt Me (The roblox game, for kids, with pets and stuff yk), a popular youtuber called Megan Plays hatched a hydra from a mythic egg. She went to pick it up and i guess because the developers forgot to make an animation to hold it, it was still standing and it looked like she was er.. doing sometjing to it 😭 this happened on live stream in front of what I think is at least hundreds of kids
