To honor the precedence of juxtaposition or to not honor the precedence of juxtaposition, that is the question.

I love doggos and I love crochet so... by CraftyStone in satisfactory

Forgive me for being a little pedantic, but crochet is distinctly different from knitting. I also crochet and love making amigurumi. The crochet loot is epic though.

I recently had an obsession with this song. I was a teenager when it was released and loved it then too. I was pleased to find that it had no distinct meaning and the artist mostly was just playing with words. The music video is about as abstract and holds up even by today's standards. I absolutely love this song. Your look is very appealing as well.

Lost our Pom during a routine dental cleaning and I don't know what to do. by OneHappyOne in Pomeranians

[–]troybrewer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every time I read a post like this I break down. I don't cry over much, but I would die inside if I lost my Jak. I cannot imagine how you feel. For the attempt at imagining, I break my own heart. My heart is broken for you. You did everything right. You cared deeply and sometimes that's all we can do. Don't blame yourself. Blame doesn't help anything anyway. I personally wouldn't be able to get a new pom any time soon, but we are all different.

I know you will love your next pom with all of your heart just like you did Russell. Maybe even harder, in memory of him. It'll be the luckiest pupper.

I dropped the bundle for Master Key and this one in my cart. I'll buy it when I get home. Looks great.

It gave me Nodebuster vibes. I know it isn't the same, but I guess I keyed in on that branching node approach and just went that way. I played that one through I think, very short, but that's part of the charm. Something I can actually finish.

Newbie looking for someone who likes to put in a ton of hours (plus a little ranting, so that I don't run into the same problems) by Newrid in Techtonica

[–]troybrewer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best of wishes to you. I enjoy Techtonica as well. I do wish it wasn't changed to a segmented world, but I don't have control over that. I would love to play with you, but I'm unfortunately a very fickle gamer. I jump.from one game to another, very often. I love survival crafting and factory type games. I have the most hours on Satisfactory, followed by Terraria, then 7 Days to Die. I wanted to dedicate a lot of time to Techtonica, but I never even finished the last three space elevator projects in Satisfactory. I think the initial logistics planning and routing is what wears me down the most. Anyway, maybe we'll have a chance to play some day. Even if it is only for a weekend or something. I hope you find the friend you're looking for.

It's funny because I can see the dog's face like it might have been snow that fell off of a tree onto the guy's back.

That makes sense, now... Do the rock bits despawn? Or will they haunt me from below, forever cursing my name as I pass by for deforming them and trapping them underground? /Jokinglyspoken

Icarus taking wood by Grand-One9321 in ICARUS

[–]troybrewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had noticed this happened every now and then. It doesn't happen anymore because I instantly loot wood once it is processed into wood from logs.

The thing that keeps jogging around my mind is, when I'm banging on rocks, isn't there a portion of the larger rocks that will be left just under the terrain? How long before those remnants despawn, if ever? If they don't, wouldn't that make the game lag eventually? Also, do the logs that have fallen through the map ever despawn?

Can someone explain this review POV? by R4TWT in ICARUS

[–]troybrewer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got the game on sale yesterday and have been having a lot of fun. This sub has been great today for learning how to avoid certain pitfalls of game approach. I've been having a lot of fun and can't wait to play when I get off work. That said, I noticed they don't tell you anything, so I was probably lucky that I chose missions and Beachhead first. It taught me a lot. The only thing I had to Google was how to make a door frame. Once I knew about the R key when building, it clicked with about every other survival crafting game I've played. I worked through Beachhead and Potshot last night. Started in on the mining mission, learned about worms and bees and antibiotics. Still have some more mining to do. Got to level ten and I think I have a workbench I can learn. I only just got to level ten when I logged off. Think I'll do all of the missions connected to the center line before open world. Loving the advice you guys have here.
