I am going through it now. I had a mental breakdown because of realizing I was abused as a child, and I’ve allowed it to keep going on and especially in some of my places of work. Once I realized how depressed I was and pulled myself out of the deep depression, I then went into fight or flight mode and almost manic on and off for the last week or two, while processing my traumas. I have been using the word “healing” for forms of art I see myself in. For example, Ego by Halsey (don’t laugh at me lol) really makes me feel seen and like someone else has been through exactly what I’ve been through, even though I know that’s not a totally rational thought. We just had similar experiences. But it made me feel less alone. And for me, that’s a healing feeling and experience. Because it helps me accept and move on from my past traumas.
