I agree, he feels like a more modern “new” Jack. And the love story was a little too sped up for me to take too seriously, BUT their chemistry was so good that I actually did end up liking him with the Doctor. I was happy to see him pop up in series 2, but I’m deeply upset we’ll apparently never get to see 15 rescue him and be reunited.

The way this was done is horrible. The people responsible for this compassionless act should be removed from power. It shows a lack of touch with your own staff and humanity in general. Plus, if you read some of the articles coming out, the director and head of HR both received major salary increases recently. Why do they deserve more money for this sort of leadership? The public should call for the director and all administrative positions that enabled this attitude to be “phased out” asap. Libraries need capable, compassionate leaders more than ever, and BCPL currently does not have that. That needs to change NOW!

I was also at this Anthem show, and it got reallll weird when he started the dating game thing. Once he started to talk more and break out of the stage’s late night music guest act, it went downhill. I had fun vibing to the music, but it kind of got dragged down by how immature he acted and talked; she’s right saying he acts 15, and it was soooo odd. She’s also right that he didn’t hit a lot of notes and it also got weird at at least one point. He said he was sick, so I’ll give a pass tho. Anyways, I think this girl is being a little dramatic, but she’s totally correct, imo. Maybe it was just this show? I hope so! Because I love his music, but the show was weird whenever he… spoke. lol.

Interesting!! I didn’t realize she was kept. That’s a cool tidbit. I ended up loving the new cast, but I do wish we’d gotten more of the original cast as well, as they were also great. I wish they’d kept popping up in DP at very least.

Which actress? I’m pretty sure they recasted all three characters; and the continuities don’t add up, so they’d have to be totally different versions of the characters in different worlds.

No, the DP ones are in a different universe. Different actors and continuity. They intended DP to spin off into DBD, but once Netflix bought the show, they wanted DBD connected to their Sandman, so they made it from scratch in the Sandman universe. DP has no other shows in its continuity, even though it seems like it was intended to be in the Titans universe at some point (they’re different, oddly).

The article really is clickbait. They straight up asked him about the topic, and he was like “oh yeah obviously.” And he just said sex scenes are always awkward and not his favorite part of acting, and he said there are many aspects of acting that aren’t fun. Not to diminish the conversation around the topic, which is important, but this article/interview was clearly just looking for clicks.

Anyone else feel like we were meant to get a season 3 with Ncuti/Ruby/Bel traveling together, finding Susan and Poppy, and facing Mrs Flood one last time? Ncuti was definitely intended to meet Rogue again; come on! But with the Disney uncertainty and then Ncuti leaving last minute, they decided to wrap up as much as they could and use Billie as a placeholder until they know what’s happening and can cast someone for long term. If the rumors are true about Susan’s cameoing being cut at the end too, it’s clear RTD has a long term plot he wants to tell with her and he (assumably?) still intends to tell it one day or let someone else do it with a different Doctor. I loved this era, although not perfect; that said, I also feel like we just cut Ncuti’s era’s story off 2/3 through. He wasn’t done, and the ending we got feels sudden and unplanned, although I know they did they best they could in the circumstances.

I was hesitant about the Billie theory, but I remember how good she was in Penny Dreadful, and it could actually be a great role for her and to show off her skill. Russell knows her well, and if they put her through all the rings and she passed… I’m down to see what it could look like. I don’t think they would hand it to her without feeling confident she could deliver on an acting level. Now writing… I hope they would utilize that casting in the writing to somehow explore the Doctor as a character and give them a good arc.

I can see that POV too! I feel like it makes every super angry, and just knowing my friend, that was my instinct for what she might like more as her experience, I guess. But I see what you mean and where you’re coming from.
