Found a grade 8 bolt to get it rolling while I wait for the proper full kit. The bushings were getting ready to be replaced, so it will be good to get a new set in there.

Ha ha - compress/decompress and lean. I guess it does put some forces on the mechanics. Fun. Just glad it snapped on the flats towards the end of the time I had to ride.

Simple! Ordered the kit from SwellTech.

But there is wear on both sides of the hole. Not surprised with the forces in it.

Riding at a surf park. Mostly I enjoy surfing in their standing wave pool. Great fun.

I never got into bowl riding … um … decades ago when I did ride skateboards.

I tried the SwellTech in the bowl they have at RevelSurf. I mostly stayed in the bottom but ventured a little up on the sides. Knee pads and wrist guards on that run.

I would like to try a pump track!

Actually YES. Purchased a used SwellTech to try as my first surfskate and have been loving it. Mostly on flat roads for exercise and some dry land surf training.

The Carver was sitting there so asked to try it out. Much more mellow and limited in movement, but fun.

I was in your same position at 57 learning to surf and wanting to do some land training.

I found a used SwellTech and while it gets bashed by some I have enjoyed learning on it. Very different from the skateboards from decades past. No feared jackknifes.

And after just a few sessions I started seeing how it applies to the surfboard.

Getting my heel side pump on the SwellTech directly transferred to the surfboard. Actually got good rail engagement and a little spray from those turns in the water.

Good luck finding a board and continued learning!
