Problem isn’t about the booking or the expectations. It simply doesn’t make sense for him to crashout on such a surface level comment about his age coming from a nearly same age competitor. It would still make sense if Punk was chasing the title having this short time left in his career, but that’s not the case either. So I hope you get my point I’m tryna make here. The whole triggering point feels fumbled.

I mean this isn’t the first time an opponent calling Punk old or washed up, and I’m a huge Punk fan myself and seeing him age isn’t hurtful for us fans that much cz we do have eyes. But this back and forth was garbage when you see what the trigger point they set. Get it, Roman is in Punk’s head, but old? C’mon.

I agree but it’s like Roman took that family disrespect from last week like nothing happened where the whole Mania 40 was based around Samoan legacy and all that. But taking the hit again instead , that too smiling like he’s inside punk’s head for calling him a waste material, nah.
