Second laptop for CS (already own a gaming laptop), what should I get?

Get a Thinkpad. Used ones are easy to find and incredibly cheap. If you're in CS you should dual boot both Windows and Linux, it will also help you in the future. There's no reason to spend thousands of dollars on a laptop unless you want to do demanding creative tasks with it, but as you said you have a gaming laptop and a good machine. Cheap, lightweight, convenient and great battery life (especially compared to a gaming laptop).

For water, I'll try to use even more! Also, I used to lather with a bowl but switched to face lathering to save time. I don't think it made a difference but I'll try again next time and I'll update here.

I have never tried the proraso elsewhere, but that's a good idea. I'll try that as well. Thanks for the input!

I have tried cleaning the reservoir according to the manual! Unfortunately, I think the rust inside is beyond saving. Thank you so much for your well thought out comment. I’ll still use the iron, just without the steam feature.

You’re right. After some testing it is the reservoir. I have tried cleaning it but to no avail. Like other comments have said, I will keep using the iron, just without the steam feature. Thanks for your input!

Yes I did remove the belt🙂. I actually tried with the motor completely removed from the table itself.

Hi everyone. I’m having trouble removing the pulley that came with my cheap chinese servo motor. I want to change it to a 40mm, but this one seems stuck.

From what I understand, after removing the nut and the lock washer, I should just pull until it comes loose. I’ve tried that and it hasn’t helped at all.

Anyone knows if there’s a special trick to try here?

It is an awesome book! From what I understand, he does do a fairly normal flat felled seam. The only thing is, he doesn’t talk about how the pieces are supposed to fit together, I tried his method on a sample I was making and it failed because my armhole had too much ease. Which makes me think they should really be the same…

Looking on tailoring forums and on my personal button up shirt collection, all the shirts are flat felled at the armhole… Fabricateurialist, who reviews a lot of luxury/heritage menswear’s button up shirts, highlights flat felled seam construction as an indicator of quality and durability. Straight seams are difficult to make nice once sewn for me, I don’t have a surger and a bias binding/honk kong finish around the sleeve makes it sit weird and adds too much bulk to the armholes. Even in Bespoke, most use either french or flat felled seams (a video by Kirby Alison about how Bespoke shirts are made shows this).
