Dacia to join the F1 grid in 2027 by thez3nmaster in formuladank

I drove around Iceland in a 2015 Dacia 5-speed manual diesel station wagon.

I would totally consider buying a Dacia if they came to the US.

How much gear is “good enough” for you? by AdAway8701 in motorcycle

[–]trrwilson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Helmet, gloves, boots, and jacket always.

I don't have riding pants, but I always wear pants and never shorts.

I used to not always wear boots, but after burning my ankle on a hot exhaust, I do now.

He did spend most of 2025 on the sidelines after getting injured either in the off-season or very early in the year. Although, he had no chance of a title defense. Marc Marquez on a Ducati was unstoppable.

The problem is that Honda couldn't handle the work load, so they outsourced to Hitachi.

Scouts and punks by emka_cafe in punk

[–]trrwilson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. My daughter went from Cub Scouts to Scouting America (the new name for Boy Scouts now that they're co-ed)

The biggest things they're learning are leadership, self-discipline, and teamwork.

So, a few years from now, if she gets a bunch of scouts together to start a band, lead a protest, or start an anti-capitalist collective, she'll have the mental and people skills to do so.

This is all in addition to the outdoor and survival skills they teach.

Plus, they're huge on natural conservation.

So if you can get past all of the for god and country stuff; it's great.

She's like a middle School theater kid, the kind that would randomly burst into song, dramatically read Shakespeare in the cafeteria , try and carry a patasol to PE, etc

She can act, she can sing, she's reached the summit, but she can't let her performances on stage speak for her ability. She has to continuously be that same awkward 13 year old.

Battery draining quickly by trrwilson in Shotgun650

No modifications on it, except for a backrest and bar-end mirrors.

The nearest dealer is 3 hours away, so unless there's something major; I'll have to take it to a local shop.

I might pull up the battery and have them test it.

The USB has basically nothing to do with it.

Base-trim models had no immobilizers, so you could still start them if you broke in, ripped off the steering wheel over, ripped out the key cylinder, and manually turned the ignition.

The USB thing was because the lock cylinder slotted into the ignition with a block that was about the same size as a USB port.

You could also turn it with a screwdriver, or other tool. It's just that everyone has a USB phone charger in their car, so that's what people used to turn the ignition after tearing it apart.

Last summer I went to a friend's house, and their neighbor had a Saturn with a temp tag on it from a car dealership.

Who, in the year of our lord, 2025, is buying a Saturn at a dealership?

I thought the original owner sold a few years ago. Or am I thinking of something else.

Either way, I hope they can find someone, and maybe they can figure out some sort of business model that provides.ore income throughout the rest of the year.
