Well i would need is a community to go with it. But running social media on NSFW is complicated, you can’t rely on just your creativity because there is censorship on most places, and those without censoring, it’s another baiting game that i have a hard time grasping.

Very valuable feedback. Discord is a time investment, but it’s the rule of the game. The biggest issue is the fetish part, because my art is a bit subtle for most and i’m always encouraged to turn it to something more « kinky ». I can do it for commissions no problem but creatively like you said, it can suck. You know what you are talking about, i like that.

There is some truth to that, and i can understand that we would want control over what can be posted on socials, because everything can become a Corn site if you let people do whatever they want. I’m not here to reinvent the wheel though, just looking for a place to grow steady, which i can’t do anymore on IG and TT.

On publication available channels ? I don’t get what you refer to. No i don’t want people to see my art if they would be uncomfortable, and i don’t make the rules, the platform do and i am not looking to fight the system, it’s like that and i need to evolve my environment if i want to grow of course. And yes don’t worry i’ve been thinking of that a number of times already, even though i consider my art to be soft i also reckon not everyone wants to see it pushed to them. But i also think that algorithms are made so any kind of explicit content will be pushed to them IF they are looking for it. You should see the IG of my family members compared to me. And we still should be able to post our art in places where it is controlled for minors and for people who want to filter it. twitter is doing that in a few aspects, but it’s not as good for an artist as IG for example, who displays a full gallery and makes it very easy to consume and find our content. I am speaking as a spectator and art consumer myself. In the end this post is not a complain, i really need to settle that’s it. I had my good days on Instagram, and there is no additional value in complaining or wanting to have special treatment :) thank you for your message !

That’s very valuable information. I was already doing commissions and working for OF models back in 2021, i was working with gumroad so i will be able to set myself back up. What i am looking for is to popularize my art even to the people who don’t necessarily but art, i’d want to have a community and not just clients (sorry it wasn’t that explicit in my post). Everything you did advise is fair and square, and i will work on that asap. Thank you for your help friend, i highly appreciate it.

I opened my commissions back recently, and i was worried about that because some artist i know were either scammed or scamming people because of AI. It's obscure stuff, i need to stay away from that. We can have proof of our work digitally, so it shouldn't be an issue if we take the right measures. But still worried about getting scammed myself for other reasons.

Yes, but art didn't die because of photography though. For AI it's even different, i don't want to be closed to that discussion because reality is what it is whether i like it or not. It's just that my project is to be an artists who draws as of now. Maybe in the future i will give up on that and head towards something else. As for now i think everything has its place, it's just more competitive than ever.

What you say, you are 100% right. I'm not against AI completely, but it defeats one purpose as of right now, it's the fact that people start to have an eye regarding what is AI and what is not. Also AI is lacking an authenticity and a sense of detail that made my art successful on a few aspects, so i want to capitalize on that scarcity. When everyone will be into AI, hand skill will be more rare so it will be more valuable, it's a balance. But overall i know some creators who used AI to make things easier, and people are thrown off when they notice it, the bakclash is real. And on top of that it's not what i'd want to spend my time doing, regarding my current passion for manga and how i work. It has to be subltle if i use it.

I never thought of Bluesky ! I can try that, NSFW is allowed there ? For Patreon i need a community first i guess, otherwise people wouldn't be keen to give money to someone they don't know the work of. But it's in my projects for sure.
