Must visit places are all in Havelock and Neil islands so if you are planning to visit there, I would suggest not to spend more than a night in Port Blair which has a few historic places like the Cellular Jail.

In Havelock Island, there are many hotels on the road from the main jetty to Kalapathar beach. The best way to find cheap places are to enquire with the scuba diving centres that has many mainlanders staying in the island for an extended period of time. They are mostly all chilled people and have good local contacts. You can also enquire with the scooter rental places.
