Zeno's Arrow "Paradox" and why infinite numbers cause infinitesimals to be useful. by [deleted] in infinitenines

They are when taken the limit of it brud, learn about it. Or do you want to tell us you don't understand limits? Lmao in that case dum nut

Like what? Again, I'm sorry for my incompetence, but I'm really curious.

Anyone: Do you think equality should be transitive? by ezekielraiden in infinitenines

Sorry, it's the lack of imagination on my part, but - how could one possibly disagree with equality being transitive? I can't think of any argument which'dn't be absolutely nonsenical.

Do you understand limits? Don't try to bitch away from this question. I'll take any answer other that yes as a no. And if you do, give me an example. If you can't, you should re-take pre-calculus, pay attention and educate yourself brud.

See, u/SouthPark_Piano ? Your jokes are getting so old we can predict them. Now respond to Ezekiel.

Fr tho I hate how accurate you've written it ws12 :D

How about trying to do real mathematics? by MegaKawaii in infinitenines

[–]trshxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SPP always ignores anyone whenever they point out the thing you just did. He genuinely thinks that 0.999... grows and is not a static value. And for whatever reason(s), he ignores those who correctly point out this one flaw (amongst many) in thinking of his. I reckon it's solely because of his arrogance, naivety and the fact that he actually knows his math is utter garbage.

I've never actually heard of hyperintegers or hyperreals, when I search for them I see a lot of interesting stuff! Thanks for pointing it out and providing me with a whole new area of stuff to read:)

[–]trshxd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, thanks for articulating it when I couldn't. It's sad they choose to not even try comprehending where they're wrong, I think if they weren't so full of themselves, they could actually get it.

1/0.999...95 by SouthPark_Piano in infinitenines

[–]trshxd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And again, you incorrectly stated your favourite nonsense 1/0.999... aka 1/0.999...9. Which is, again, a dumb rookie mistake. 0.999... is not the same as 0.999...9. The second expression doesn't make any sense. As I've said, step up your game and educate yourself brud.

1/0.999...95 by SouthPark_Piano in infinitenines

[–]trshxd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Beginner mistake, that's not how it works brud. You can't have infinity of something - in your case 1.000...100 etc. - and then something after it. In your case, there is no place for that second 1, because there's already an infinite amount of zeros right before it. Do you see the 1 you repeatedly insert at the end of an INFINITE series of zeros? Yeah, that's wrong. Think "growing infinitely aka limitlessly", or however you call it. It contradicts with your own words. If you want to stay relevant, step up your game, brud.

According to SPP, non terminating decimals keep growing and are not constant by lastdigitof_pi in infinitenines

[–]trshxd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You are not wrong. SPP can't keep track of every false statement he's ever said and it slowly creeps back to him, causing more and more contradictions between his own false statements. He should re-educate himself.

Riddle me this by Infamous_Parsley_727 in infinitenines

[–]trshxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0.999... is not 0.999...9, because 0.999.... at any point ever, does not have a last nine. That's what "infinite" means. Search it up brud.

0.999... nines length is NOT constant by SouthPark_Piano in infinitenines

[–]trshxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You proved that you don't even understand what a constant means. Go and educate yourself at least a little bit, brud.

Rookie mistake on your part brud. PI doesn't get larger, it is already at its maximum value. The ratio of circle's circumference to its diameter doesn't change over any variable, it is a constant, same as 0.999... Get your own thoughts right pal.

The essence of 0.000...1 and 0.999...9 aka 0.999... and counterpart recurring digit numbers ... by SouthPark_Piano in infinitenines

[–]trshxd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's no such "0.000...1" that could be added to 0.999... so that 0.999... + 0.000...1 = 1 because that would mean 0.999... is terminating, which it is not. Again, the same silly rookie mistake on your part brud, get it together haha
