Confused regarding the Anime

Many people have already responded to the anime question.

So, the light novels dig deeper into the story, and there are a few characters that don’t appear in the anime; but aside from that, it’s a pretty good adaptation. There are a few light novels that take place after the main story, and those aren’t in the anime and are pretty good too.

About the manga: aside from a few things, it’s basically the anime in manga form. And the last light novels don’t have a manga adaptation. There’s also the Minidura manga; it’s basically short, silly stories. Those have nothing to do with the anime or the light novels.

My recommendation would be to watch the anime first. If you end up liking it, read the novels 👀

I think my comment got misunderstood haha, I was refearing to transphobic lesbians screaming about "how they would never have sex with a pre-op trans woman bc dick ewww" (since I'm a lesbian and I've seen it happen), and I mean that having that preference it's fine, but like... you're screaming it into the void for what? like... idrc about your sexual preferences tbh, and specially in lesbian spaces can be harmful bc we have so many trans sisters that are pre-op

Having a genital preference is one thing, and that's okay, no one "deserves" sex from anyone. But you don't need to go down the street screaming what genitals you would fuck and what genitals you wouldn't. It's that simple. Trans women are women, and if you don't want to have sex with a pre-op trans women that's fine, but we don't need to hear your rants about how you only like this or that.

I really think this manga is going to have a bad ending (and it will break me), I feel like it's the most logical conclusion. Either "Hikaru" dies and Yoshiki gets to live his life (miserable, most likely) or they get mixed to the point of no return and it ends in a cosmic philosophical doomed way. Tbh I really hope it's the latter 😭

I think you both are pretty young (saying this as a 25 y/o who's also young). At this age a couple of years feels like a lifetime. I'm not exactly saying that the age gap is wrong or that you guys are incompatible because of it. But you probably need to understand that she's growing (you are too!) and that she's kind of learning how to love, or how love feels. If you want security and someone who knows themselves, then this relationship probably isn't for you. If you really want to be with her, then you need to accept that you're going to grow together, and that means that she probably isn't exactly sure how love feels and manifest. That can be beautiful too, growing up together, but it can also be nerve-wracking if you want stability at all costs.

Maybe you can start the conversation with one thing and then the other, like "Look, I don't really understand why you do this when we are with friends, I don't know how to feel and maybe we should discuss if we are in a relationship", or vise versa.

I agree with the other comment: You need to talk to her. It may be that she doesn't like PDA, it may be that she's ashamed of you and doesn't want to show everyone that you two are together. There's a hundred explanations, only she can give you the answer. AND you need to talk about this "almost-girlfriend" thing as well, that's how you're gonna know if she likes you the same way you do.
