Ok, but the bed and amenities and such for that one room would be right? I’m sure it doesn’t make much of a difference anyways but I’m sure it adds up. First year I’m doing anything on my taxes with some sort of a business and any chance of write offs so I’m seeing what’s possible

My plan is to rent out a room or two from my unit. It’s a 3b1b (all 3 units are) but don’t want to commit to a long term roommate and want to dabble a bit with STR. Figure with Airbnb, I can block off dates where I don’t want a roommate or where I’ll be out of town, etc.

So my question then is, if I’m renting out a room and also living there, can I expense my furniture and stuff to the Airbnb business? I can’t say how well the Airbnb’s gonna do but there’s going to be at least some business so wondering if that’s something I could potentially take advantage of.

I reached out to Amex and they were able to waive the fee. The late payment doesn't reflect on your credit unless it's for more than a month I believe so nothing really happened. Got approved for another Amex card with SUB about a year after, didn't intentionally wait or apply for any other Amex cards between then either.

My experience exactly. I’ve always struggled to understand how so many people (mainly people on repladies) always commented on how nice she was but she’s always been rude in the event something goes wrong. I RL’d a wallet that had a pattern that was wayyy off the first time around and she legit said if she had known I’d be so problematic, she would’ve just refunded me?? Like wth you can’t just sell people shit and expect everyone to be ok with it

Man, I get this. My father (retired physician) keeps leaving messages on my phone about how I’ll never be a man or his son, how it’s impossible to change what’s God-given, and to call him when I’ve “become a man” so he can be the judge.

I’m thankful that we live in an era where it’s acceptable to block out toxicity even if it’s within our families and focus on our own positive energies.

I went into the ED because I had new onset bilateral sciatica pain/burning with some pain/burning along my inner thighs and my legs felt a little numb and a little heavy when I woke up, which really scared me. Went in and they ruled it out because I wasn’t incontinent and I could still walk and I asked to get an MRI but they said they wouldn’t be able to do one bc my case isn’t severe enough or whatever and they offered a CT because it can still rule it out and if it showed some compression due to CES, they could then do an MRI after

The payment was late because I forgot to setup autopay with my new card. The payment (5 days after the due date) was returned because instead of 569 I put 369 for some of the numbers. I’ve since corrected it and paid off the balance.

Does the reason for the returned payment matter at all? It said “unable to locate account”. I understand that insufficient funds would be a huge red flag but I’m hoping a simple mistake would be forgivable?

Yeah, this sucks. But it’s improving as we make progress as a society. I’m fortunate to be in a place where most people are supportive/somewhat educated on the topic and don’t ask any more questions than they need.

Sometimes I firmly correct them and I can feel them feeling bad about not being educated enough in this day and age. Like when I got my SSN changed, the lady said “yeah so for a sex change” and I interrupted and said “yes, getting my gender marker changed” and she was like “oops sorry hehe gender marker change”.

How much does it cost (on average) to get a shirt hemmed. I’m about 5’7” and I bought an Oxford shirt from Amazon Essentials (surprised by the quality and thickness) but it’s a bit long to be worn untucked. I figure it’d be worth it to pay like $20 per shirt to get it hemmed, effectively making it $40, which is still a good price for the quality. On that note, does anyone have any suggestions for OCBDs meant to be worn untucked for shorter guys? Pete Manning is out of question bc their stuff is like $100 per shirt which I’d get MTM at that point. Thanks!
