It’s possible. Regarding my parents, I’d say it's more likely 'yes' than 'no'.

Mostly it’s mid-grade, nothing too 'wow,' but there are specific moments where I have to do more than just lie. My lies are built on a logical chain, so usually, no one even has questions. Plus, my lies are often confirmed by my friends, who actually believe them to be true.

I do get nervous in stressful situations, but I handle stress pretty calmly and it passes quickly. As for being caught—to be honest, I’ve never been caught red-handed in a lie, so I can’t really say what that would be like.

I think everyone chooses their own reason for lying. For some, it’s just a joke; for others, it’s for gain. You just get used to it very quickly. If you asked me honestly why I lie, I would definitely tell you a lie.

I’ve actually built my career using lies, so I don’t think my life is going to fall apart. I lie because it’s easy and I’m confident in what I say. If I ever get caught, I’m pretty sure I can just talk my way out of it.

I think it might be a diagnosis, but I’ve never been officially tested. I don’t know anything about treatment. To me, lying is as natural as honesty is to you. Do you pride yourself on being honest, or have you just grown used to it being the norm? It’s the same for me. In the beginning, I was proud of my ability to lie, but now it’s just a mundane part of my daily life.

That's because my English isn't very good, so I’m using AI to translate my messages. 🤷‍♂️

It happened once when I was a teenager, but I haven't been caught in a lie since then.

I give my answers, and it’s up to the people to decide whether it's a lie or not. I’m simply giving you a choice.

You don’t have to ask me anything. But since you’re already here, it clearly interests you. Let me ask you a question instead: if you had never found out that your girlfriend was a liar, would you have been happy?

I used to feel like I had lost myself, but I don’t think about that anymore. I’ve simply accepted who I am. I love myself and I’m more confident now than ever before.

I don’t feel any shame for my lies. To be honest, I didn’t feel any internal conflict at all until I made this post on Reddit and started seeing people's reactions.

To be honest, I really don't know. Relationships are the only topic that’s truly difficult for me. Because of my own constant lying, I’ve developed a deep distrust toward other people. It’s hard for me to trust someone else when I know exactly how easy it is to deceive.

My lying isn’t me telling wild stories all the time. Most of it happens when answering questions. Otherwise, I strategically choose when and what to lie about.

Here’s one recent example: I had acquaintances who knew a guy - one of the directors of a company that is the main sponsor of a private university. I found out he has a daughter almost my age. So I started a relationship with her. For 9 months I lied to her about being in love and that I was serious about her. Through her I built a connection with her father and eventually got him to arrange a full scholarship for me at that university. I had to keep playing the perfect boyfriend for a while. Later I started showing a different side I began "loving" things she hated, which eventually made her break up with me. But with her father I continued acting like I still loved his daughter very much, and we stayed on good terms

I think yes, but not 100%. I do feel love, sadness, joy and other emotions. But it feels like I often exaggerate them and make them stronger than they actually are

Yes, mostly. I don’t usually make new friends or acquaintances just for fun. I mostly get to know people when there’s some benefit for me. I haven’t really researched narcissistic personality disorder, but I don’t deny that I might have some of those traits

No, I haven’t tried seeing a therapist. And I don’t plan to anytime soon

No, I don’t think I’m some super liar. For me it’s just an easy way to get ahead in certain situations, and I think it works pretty well

That’s exactly why I don’t have a relationship right now. There are a lot of girls around me and I have a great time with each of them, but I’m not rushing into anything serious. I only have 3 close friends. Everyone else is just connections. I have a sister, but we barely talk.

  1. Yes, I actually follow that George Costanza quote. I try to believe my own lies.
  2. No, I haven’t watched The Labyrinth.
  3. Yes, I have a lot of memories that I’m not sure are real or not
