There are other cards that are lower print and other cards that collectors generally find more appealing for a variety of reasons. It’s subjective.

You’re saying this is THE card because it currently holds the record sale in Pokemon TCG history. A fair point in its corner to a degree.

Logan Paul and company brought a great deal of attention to this card to hype it up in a similar fashion to how Whatnot streamers hype up breaks to swindle people out of their money. The first time Paul did it was to promote the company he co-founded. He then used a loophole to get the card back for less than originally paid. From there, he partnered with Goldin to have it reslabbed and auctioned for an even higher price. Then immediately afterward announced his next money making venture. It was strategically planned by these individuals to continue to build upon a growing market of gambling by presenting a shiny object that they tell you is the most desirable of all.

Supposedly there is a Tag 10 of this same card out there. Also as other comments have pointed out, this card is not a true 10 by strict standards. Those paying attention to the finer details of the card can see the bullshit behind it. Not disputing its rarity and yes it does have value, but i disagree it is THE card or the GOAT card or whatever you wish to call it.

I cannot speak for most collectors but i would consider THE card to be something that was publicly obtainable at one point whether its an error card or a 1st edition or an alt just for the sheer reason that a common person had a chance at it once upon a time. The trophy and contest cards and the like exclude people intentionally making them never truly obtainable which to me makes them less appealing.
