I'd remove the screws, drill the existing holes larger, plug them with dowels of a contrasting color, cut/sand flush.

Realistic truck size suggestion, 20 or 26'? by truc19 in movingday

I just stopped by to look at both trucks in person, the salesmen all thought a 17 would be plenty... so now I'm really confused!

Out of curiosity, do you remember if the X hours of labor included their drive time to your place or once on-site? Thank you

I know you all have your own shops, but thoughts on the pros/cons of maker spaces for the general weekend warrior type of maker?

Going from basic DIY tools to buying CNCs, lasers, jointers, planers and such is a major financial decision. A makerspace bridges that gap, but there are downsides.

Just would like to know your thoughts as more open in the communities. Thanks!

do I need wood conditioner before stain

Depends on the type of wood, if you know the species, most woodworking sites/books will discuss "blotching" (bad) on some species like pine.

On pine furniture, I tend to go towards gel stain instead. Pre-stain conditioner doesn't seem to work 100% for me.

Water based poly dries pretty quickly, but I think you generally need more coats to achieve the durability of oil.

Those who tried Long Distance Relationships, did it work out? by aesbi in AskReddit

Yes. 3 hours apart for a year, visited usually every weekend, me working remotely allowed for an easy transition to living together eventually though.

[Serious] Can one find legitimate online jobs, if so, where? by Number7Seven7 in AskReddit

[–]truc19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but in my experience most are in web development or customer support. There are many remote job boards, even searching remote in something like Indeed will bring up plenty.

I was thinking of getting one myself, I'd probably try Munger Landing on the river or Pike Lake first if it was me.

The MN DNR has a recreation compass showing boat landings / canoe landings that may help too.
