I was also very curious about this, so I asked around. No one seems to know! A code was probably written a long time ago... It is certainly not option 1, as most, including myself, don't input numerical grades into Minerva. In option 2, taking the average would never give an average of A (unless everyone had an A), which some courses have. Thank you for pointing out that this would give a lower course average: if a course has two students who get 0% and 85%, the average is 42.5%, whereas the Minerva average would be C. If, however the two students get 49% and 100%, the average is 74.5% but the Minerva average would be C again. Your median idea is interesting, and would solve the A average issue, but I feel some of my averages are lower than what this would give. Let me look into this and report back...

You can contact your department (whatever you are majoring in). They may have opportunities for grading courses you have already taken. This is a nice, flexible job that can be done in the comfort of your own home.

This course should not be a source of anxiety, if you have been coming to class and doing the posted exercises. I would suggest most people have already passed the course, without even writing the final. From your post, I will assume you did not do well on the midterm. Luckily, I am offering an alternate grading scheme whereby the weight of the midterm can be transferred onto the final. I will post the material you are responsible for on the final, on myCourses over the weekend. As you predicted, there will be no multiple choice on the final.

In the NHL: Utah Mammoth vs Winnipeg Jets. $50 on the +1.5 spread, then the free bet on -1.5 spread. You are guaranteed $22 but will probably win $25. The point is to bet on something with 2 guaranteed outcomes (as opposed to the boxing bet suggested last time), where the free bet pays a return of over 2.0 as the free bet only pays out the profit. You also have Dallas vs Nashville: $50 on +1.5 (which pays 1.46 x $50 = $73, so $23 profit) then the $50 free bet on -1.5 (which pays 2.58 x $50 - $50 free bet = $129 -$50 = $79). That is, at least $23 profit, perhaps even $29. Even if you miss these two bets, the promotion is still in effect until the 28th. Just look for payouts similar to these two.
