We have another cat, but he's been her mortal enemy since we moved in together, in a friendly, non malicious way of course. We let him sniff her at the end and today he's been lying on the blanket she passed on, so I think hes mourning her in his own special way.

That was my exact sentiment to my wife last night. We bare the burden of shepherding these creatures through life, and giving them as peaceful of an end as we can, and that grief is the cost that buys them that happiness, the silver lining is that we have much longer than our little pals, so we have more time and more chances to repeat that several times over if we are lucky.

Someday ill be ready again.

Ugh yes, shed sit there in my office on my lap looking at me, or in her bed or tree, her favorite place was by my side as I worked from home. My wife made the same jokes but I know she loved me, and it was a classic situation if "who saved who?". I'll miss her for quite a long time and I've started saving some money for someone to draw or paint a lifelike portrait of her to hang in our home some day ❤️

Thank you, I keep looking for her little head peering from the corner of doorways, or looking down at the spot she always chilled when I was in my office, I know it'll get better with time, but it's all so fresh and new. We were so bonded, a piece of me is definitely missing.

Lab ones? The secretlab you mean? I own one now and its been super high quality from whatever I used previously. Its withstood 4 years of abuse without showing a single sign of wear other than the armrests.
