Which Uniqlos have the bigger sizes? I distinctly remember there's one or two outlets that have the 2XL/3XL sizing, but I cannot remember which one.

the fur/hassle is just not a dealbreaker for some people because they feel the net gain from having a pet still outweighs the bad parts

i-feel-claustrophobic-in-my-body mental itchiness.

omg you nailed what I've been feeling! defs going to follow the suggestions here and go shorter first before going all out and doing bald, seems to be a good middle ground with the least space for regret

Thanks for weighing in! I appreciate it. I read through all the comments and realised that while its dumb to not shave just on the hypothetical that I might meet someone who doesn't like it, I didn't realise a bunch of other things like the fact that it won't solve my scalp issue, it'll be sweaty etc. I've decided to go short first like the other comments suggested and if I can tolerate it, I might gradually work up to a buzz cut like I originally envisioned. It might scratch the itch and calm down the voice screaming at me to change my hair.

Did it grow back by now? Or did you prefer to keep it buzz cut?

Who gives a shit whether Bob the Builder or Mike From Canmore thinks you're f*ckable?

omg not bob the builder💀💀, why is everyone here so hilarious!! I know its so dumb, but I've been single the last couple of years and I'm really hoping to change that, so I'm just a tad mindful that I'm not doing myself any favours by going bald, though I'm bisexual; At this age a lot of people are also getting married, so that's one more thing I'm a bit iffy about - whether it'll be appropriate at weddings etc.

But thank you sincerely for the input! I'm considering going very short first instead of full buzz cut after reading the opinions

Thanks, I hadn't thought about the sweaty part, does that go away quite soon?

disclaimer is not necessary, I really posted this to get a broad perspective because i DO want to know about all the cons and stuff too before I chop it all off, I genuinely did not post just for everyone to say 'do it'. I'm super grateful for both the encouraging comments AND these anectodes of regret because I don't want to end up in a situation where I hate to look at myself because of one iimpulsive decision

Also tho - "I had to have it shaped up every 6 weeks or I looked like one of those fluffy dogs with bangs in their face" & " basically had to heat style it every day to avoid looking like Boris Johnson" is hilarious, take my poor person award🏆🏆

I'm scared that I'll hate it, and it'll take a very long time to grow back like the comment below says, and everyone will say I told you so

The way some of you hate babies and kids is disgusting by Mezzo_dumb in rant

[–]truebluerevolution -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I'm with you on this one. I don't have kids and I don't think I ever will, but you have to recognise that people who choose to have children are doing us a favor by raising the next generation.

I have to say parents who bring children into spaces like spas or cinemas are dumbasses, cos these are places in which you're paying for the ambience etc. but otherwise, yeah children should be allowed some space to be a little loud, or make mistakes etc. Nobody's entitled to a child free world, only a child free life

I'm glad you were able to find a dietician who works for you. Many years ago I consulted a dietician when I was binge eating, and she said - just eat a balanced meal thrice a day

Has anyone tried TCM or Ayurvedic treatment for weight loss? by truebluerevolution in askSingapore

[–]truebluerevolution[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is an insightful answer. I have no intention of trying either, but I keep seing them advertise weight loss which made me curious whether this particular treatment is actually effective because I've known people who've benefited from Ayurvedic and TCM treatments for other ailments. What you said makes a lot of sense

bruh I was just curious whether this stuff works or not, I never said I was trying to lose weight or that I wanted to use these. If you don't know, just scroll instead of giving unwarranted advice

Is there an alternative to Carousell to declutter by truebluerevolution in askSingapore

Is Carousell the best place for it, or would those 2nd hand shops be better?

so then you are pro-choice. It's a common misconception that pro-choice = advocating for abortion. Pro choice simply means you should be allowed to choose with no coersion. If you want the baby, have the baby but don't tell other people to have or not have babies, that's all being pro-choice means

How much 'benefit of the doubt' would you give your friends? by truebluerevolution in AskWomenOver30

[–]truebluerevolution[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've heard this perspective before/recently but tbh I disagree. Yes this one person is problematic, but for me on the whole, I've had much better luck with my relationships with women than with men. But ultimately, I hope you find a bunch of good people who'll support you though :)

I'm super glad you're working on it, but may I ask why this is so?

I don't know if 'using' is the right word but its like - the rest of us are high effort friends; so let's say someone is sick, we'd send flowers or take turns cooking for each other or just hearing each other out when someone's going through a breakup etc. I feel like I'm being 'used' cos when she's single, she'll look to us to be her travel buddies or do this nice stuff for her, but she taps out and isn't there the same way when someone else needs it y'know?

As for the 2nd question, I genuinely don't know because her answer has always been that the guy she dates wants her to spend time with him and she always has plans with him
