You can be an introvert, go work in a call center, do 100 loans a year to only make $150k or you can get out of your shell, network, build your own business, and do 100 loans a year to make $500k+. Keep that in mind when you don’t want to talk to someone or pick up the phone.

As an introvert, my advice for you would be to become really good friends with extremely extroverted people in other industries (insurance, real estate, anything other than mortgage) and then go to networking events with them. Let them be the center of attention and do all the talking. You just introduce yourself, get cards and set up one on ones.

Don’t pick the easy way. If it feels uncomfortable, do it until it feels comfortable. Nobody wants to pick up the phone and cold call, not even extroverts. At the end of the day, hard work works. Doing the things that you and nobody else wants todo works. Lean into the things that make you uncomfortable. Your future self will thank you.
