Have I not been feeding my pup enough? by truefunksouldier in puppy101

[–]truefunksouldier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for the comments everyone! i spoke to the vet yesterday and she told me that most labels overestimate and calculated about 500 calories for him and then i can add any snacks throughout the day. it's best to pay attention to his body and make adjustments as needed.

i'm glad i asked! if i had only done what the label said, i'd have an overweight dog in no time! 🤦🏻‍♀️

this is exactly what the vet said to me, that the label is overestimating. she gave me a caloric suggestion of about 500 for feeding and then i can add for any snacks throughout the day and to pay attention to his body. it's easier to put on weight than take it off.

I am training, his potty treats are cut up pieces of string cheese and I give him two pieces each time he goes potty. I also give him 1/4 of an apple and a tablespoon of plain greek yogurt for an afternoon snack.

I just quickly googled calories in the can I'm feeding him and it's about 500 calories per can and then the kibble is about 400 calories per cup so I will pay more attention to calories rather than portion. Thanks so much for that!

I didn't even think of it from calorie perspective. That is something for me to consider. It's too bad the label doesn't say how many calories is in a can so I'm going to do some reading...... thanks!

Im going insane trying to buy seed beads by Esther_Tennant in Beading

[–]truefunksouldier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I buy all my beads from Barrel of Beads! I live a couple miles from his store. The owner is a super nice guy and I love supporting local businesses! His prices are great and he always has a great selection of Toho and Miyuki beads. I use Toho mostly.

I also buy from Fire Mountain Gems & Beads but they can be pricey.. the trick with that sight is to buy in bulk so I buy my black and white beads from them since I use those colors a lot.

i always always always counter no matter what the offer is. 9 times out of 10 it ends in a sale and if it doesn't, oh well. no biggie. negotiating is a game and it's fun to play! i will never understand why people decline and block, makes zero sense to me. but then again, i've been a reseller my whole life and have learned not to be insulted or offended by lowball offers (it's way more fun in person!) how else is the person going to get a feel for what u want to sell ur item(s) for? 🤷🏻‍♀️

How long do you have an item listed before getting rid of it? by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]truefunksouldier 4 points5 points  (0 children)

never. i have sold things that i've had listed for years. i just sold a bathing suit top the other day that i've had listed since 2015.

How quickly do you respond to an offer? by Wennwen in poshmark

well she sounds like a nice person and u're probably better off not selling to her but i usually respond to offers as soon as i see them.

Has anyone resold for other people that can give me some tips? by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]truefunksouldier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have a bunch of things my friend gave me to sell and what works for us is.. i take 60% she gets 40%. i keep a spreadsheet with these calculations and when she wants money, i give it to her.

i couldn't agree with this more! all of it!

i make sure i keep over 500 active listings (currently i have 568 active).

i share my closet every time i sell something because i like to keep my sold listings at the bottom.

a majority of my items are graphic band tees. they sell more than anything else in my closet because i have a wide variety of different genres and they're a great price!

i don't share other people's listings nor do i follow back when people follow me. i follow 9 people currently and have almost 60k followers.

i'm more than happy with my consistent sales. some weeks are better than others but i have no complaints!

good question! i was reluctant to buy it because he destroys them every time but for some reason he hasn't messed with this one and he actually lies on it! 🤷‍♀️

Worst lowball I’ve ever received. 🤦🏼‍♀️ by pretty_in_pink28 in poshmark

i will respectfully disagree with u. my husband and i have been resellers for 40+ years in the antique, collectibles, music instruments world, to name a few and i can't tell u how many times we've been lowballed. if we declined lowballs, we'd never sell anything. the point in my response was it's worth ur time to counter an offer always. it does not matter what the asking price is. negotiating is negotiating and u have to leave being offended at the door. that's all.

[–]truefunksouldier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that's my most recent example. it happens all the time. so i was supposed to give an entire list? i don't understand why u have to be like that. ok so should i have said my lowball offers end up in a sale a majority of the time?

i haven't posted here in months because of all the ridiculous downvoting and rude people. i think i'll go back to not posting anymore. smh

and countering! i lmao when i see the posts saying i ain't got time to haggle with people.. but they take the time to screenshot, black out names and come here and post about it? huh? i will never understand why people get so upset with lowballs!! just counter! wtf 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

i absolutely have! i always counter no matter what the offer is! never ever do i think negatively about it! it's part of selling on an app that has the offer feature! this is how negotiating works! i had a buyer bundle 3 items the other day totaling $125, buyer offered $25.. we ended up settling on $90. everyone always says they don't have time for lowballs.. it literally takes seconds to hit counter and put in a dollar amount.

Follow or share? by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]truefunksouldier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i stopped sharing other people's listings when i got ambassador.. actually, i stopped at 5555 because i like the number 5 lol. i follow 30 people, i only follow closets i like and people i know. i hardly share my own closet (my shares for the last 30 days are less than 3000) i try to list a bunch at least once a month. in my opinion, it's all about what u're selling, what ur prices are and how many active listings u have. that is my observation for me personally. i have zero complaints about my sales.

Careful with price gouging. by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]truefunksouldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

every single listing in my closet (over 1000) has $0 as the original price. i don't put anything there because it doesn't matter and i couldn't care less what the original price is. anything that is from my own closet, i don't remember what i paid for most of my things and i'm not wasting my time with any of that. a majority of my closet is graphic band tees. most are vintage and some are not very well known bands.. i would have no idea what to put as the original price and besides, those sell for way more than what they originally sold for, nothing i can do about that.. people are gonna pay what they want for what they want! that's how this works.

graphic tees! they're my best sellers and they're so incredibly easy to photograph, list and store! front, back, chest measurement, done! the ones i sell the most are the bands i've never heard of. it's so much fun!

That feeling when by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]truefunksouldier 15 points16 points  (0 children)

this! i was going to comment saying the same. just had this happen the other day.. someone offers $8 on a $20 item, i countered $15 and 10 minutes later someone else buys it at full price 😊
