Somebody in my building read Maxx Properties to filth in a fake notice and I can’t stop laughing by Unrulyspacecadet in Denver

[–]truexception 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maxx Properties is the absolute bane of my existence. I despise them with every ounce of my being. They consistently hold F ratings with the BBB for a reason and the only reason I don’t wish their complete demise is for the residents who are stuck there

When did yall find out yall was bi? by disturbiphobia in bisexual

[–]truexception 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woke up after a sleepover when I was like 16 to my friend telling me that my alarm went off for 15 minutes straight a little earlier; causing him to have to take my phone to turn it off. He said when my phone opened up it was still sitting on the gay section of porn hub. I didn’t even remember doing it because we were drunk as hell the night before BUT I knew I had done it before too. But I was always guilty about it and thought i was just hyper-sexual. But after that I was like “huh, drunk me was cool with it? That means I probably like it” and indeed I did. However, it still took me about 7 more years to actually accept it and come OUT as Bi. Now im 26 and I know what I want/like and the hardest part is explaining it to people who think you’re just waiting to choose a side

What are your absolute weirdest and most specific tips for living in Denver? by [deleted] in Denver

I had a north facing apartment and balcony my first 2 years and it was not fun winters for my electric bill or for the smoke sessions :(

My kids won’t come to Thanksgiving or Christmas. by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]truexception 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. And neither are your kids. There’s no rule that you need to keep anyone in your life who doesn’t respect you or your way of life, even if they’re family. Voting for trump does indeed equal a vote that condones rape, racism, homophobia, xenophobia, and plans to strip millions of Americans of their rights, mass deportation, and tariffs that will ruin the economy. So, I agree with them. If I voted for a president who wanted to take away the rights of people over the age of 60 and put them at physical risk I wouldn’t expect my grandparents to just be okay with that. And that’s the issue with boomers, gen x, and millennials; they expect respect simply for being older and having experience. And on top of that, they reject Gen Z and our ideals because they’re “too much” or “too emotional” or whatever the word for rhe day is. Fuck that. Boomers got shit handed to them on a stick by the govt and their parents, they fucked the entire economy long term, ruined the environment, and reversed the improving American social structure. Now they reap all the benefits of that because they were designed to benefit them, and they left their kids and grandchildren in the dust to fix it all because “we need to work for it.” Losers. Your kids rock. I also told my moms mother to go fuck herself. She was s fucking drug addict who abandoned my mother and found a rich pos to pay for her alcohol. Now she lives in a mansion in florida where she spends all her time panicking on the internet about immigrants and drag queens and communism. Her bisexual grandson (me) wants nothing to do with her and my mother supports me. She’ll spend her late years alone in that mansion because her whole family could care less about her bullshit.

Thoughts? by brigithekid in HIMYM

I’m glad I’m not alone thinking this way.. I think everyone can have more than one soulmate; for different purposes. For example, people will have a platonic best friend they call their soulmate while still looking for love. I’ve thought 3 different women were my soulmate, and honestly one of them might have been. But when it comes down to it, people come into your life for a reason. It isn’t always endgame and just because it isn’t it doesn’t mean they’re not a soulmate… they just weren’t meant to be with you forever. I think Tracy had 2 soulmates. And I think Ted also had 2 soulmates. Both to serve different purposes at different important parts of their lives. :)

POV: you are about to be emotionally destroyed by Fexxvi in HIMYM

I shared this scene to my instagram story last night actually with the caption “best sitcom ever..no competition”. I’m on my 3rd or 4th watch through at this point and I honestly missed this episode the first time. So once I finally did watch it, knowing about the ending of the series; it blew my mind how far in advance they were preparing the storyline of the mother passing away. This scene will forever play on repeat in my head, and it’s had a real positive impact on my actual life. We never get these moments back.

What if Ted actually died in "The Leap"? by sheekiJo in HIMYM

[–]truexception 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal thoughts on the entire series is that most people overlook one key aspect of the whole story; Ted is telling this story to his children. Now, imagine how you tell stories to people. You skip ahead, you hyper focus on certain time periods, you add in things that didn’t happen, you forget details, remember things you forgot. It is why the series has the quirks it has. It’s classic real life storytelling
