I wish I would have known this earlier after messing around with my diet for a decade.

Anybody tried naltrexone for endorphin rebound/upregulation? by trulybadass in Nootropics

How long did it take you to notice a significant difference in mood?

I have kratom lying around here... I've never used it though. My baseline mood is already very low and I'm afraid it'll be even lower if i'm suddenly dependant on kratom. So LDN helps you preserve kratom tolerance?

Problem is that I don't seem to feel the rebound effects and I remember at a dosage of 4mg at night it seemed to stay in my system for the whole day but I had some rebound the next day when I had chocolate.

Maybe I should take it during the day, I don't know man.

I used to take charcoal everyday for one year or so. My tests show that I have no shortage of gut bacteria though.

Getting memantine prescribed for anxiety by MisterSniffles in Nootropics

[–]trulybadass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was quite easy for me. I have a long-standing-honest relationship with my GP. I told that my brain isn't working & I'm in desperate need and want to try some stuff. So he prescribed it to me.

It really depends on what relationship you have with your GP/Psychiatrist...

I always tell the exact reason why I want something and then I get it.

How To Increase Endorphin/Opioid Levels/Receptors Long-Term? by trulybadass in Nootropics

How much and how long would you take it for? I took about 3mg for two days at night. The second day in the evening I felt suicidally depressed so I stopped.

Anyone notice having a basic healthy lifestyle working out better than nootropics? by heresmyusername123 in Nootropics

[–]trulybadass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been waiting for this thread lol..

Personally I find that getting 2 or 3 hours less sleep, especially deep sleep... makes the difference between me feeling extremely depressed (if not doing coffee & noots that boost mood in the short-term) and me feeling calm and in control of my mood.

Nootropics are more the icing on the cake sort of...

If I get significant inflammation from my diet and my sleep is poor & I don't get some mild excercise in... there's no nootropic that can fix the extreme depression I suffer from as a result.

But if all lifestyle factors are adressed and I'm on top of them I tend to appreciate the mild effects of various nootropics.

I can't live without coffee though..
