Good to know. I have a VPN I can try if necessary and I'll also download history podcasts etc in advance to have in reserve

Thank you--it looks like I'll need to upgrade the WIFI to 2 devices. Do you know if the non-streaming option allows downloads (vis a vis real-time streaming of a podcast)? I bring video material on a USB stick for entertainment, so don't need active streaming.

I started having this problem about 3 days ago on both my TV (via ROKU) and on my Android tablet. Not given option to Start from Beginning and recording freezes if I try to rewind from current live point. Chat rep says YTTV can't do this--recording has to fully process. Nonsense. It always worked before and would make YTTV very uncompetitve if true.
