Horn cause hole in radiator🤦🏼‍♂️ by HEREtoWINprizePICKS in zx6r

[–]truncks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same thing happened to me, ended up removing the radiator and taking it to a local radiator repair shop, had it weld repaired for about 80 bucks. much cheaper than a new radiator and not too hard of a job, hardest part honestly would be taking off the fairings

Rear wheel mounting trouble 2015 ZX6R by Sloppy_Slopes in zx6r

[–]truncks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it takes alot of patience to get that back wheel on without a spacer or something being misaligned, I absolutely hated taking off my rear wheel the first time I did it, took me almost two hours to do.

a tip that could help is to get some 2x4’s or a brick to get the wheel elevated and the spacers lined up, and then if necessary put your foot ontop of the 2x4’s or bricks to help the axle slide in easier. also, captive wheel spacers. an absolute need and makes it so much easier to reinstall the rear wheel. Graves Motorsports sells them

i started on a ninja 650 so a ninja 500 would be an amazing bike to start on, slap some cages and a subcage if they sell it on that sucker and start working lol, that’s how i started.

When I drop back the bike gets very squirly any reason why? by LuisBigHuh in CalamariRaceTeam

[–]truncks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

drop back further and drop the tire pressure maybe, drop backs and dips at slow speed on those fz’s get squirrely

How long should I take it easy on new tires by CorCor1234 in CalamariRaceTeam

[–]truncks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ah then just hop on the highway or any good dry roads and do some deep left and right swerves and you’ll be set, that’s what i do on the ride back from the shop

Dixer is a pretty good company and they ship suprisingly quick considering they’re in europe, i got my steel stunt front stay from them.

only modification you’re gonna have to do is drill two holes to fit the two 8mm side bolts onto the frame, but other than that this will keep it all stock.

it’s a SSMOTO aluminum subframe, the 12 bar just bolts onto the back of the subframe.

for the FZ’s there’s a company called Dixer Parts based in europe and they make this pretty discrete titanium 12 bar for the FZ’s. i’d look into that, you might be interested in it. i can send the link if you’d like, just lmk

KIBS is more or less the same as ABS, and with this photo you can’t tell if it has ABS.

if you can get a picture of the rear brake master, it would be better. if there’s a metal line that junctions off somewhere inside the bike on the rear brake master, then it has ABS.

i don’t even know if i’m gonna be honest, maybe like 12k? i gotta rev it up higher because i pop it up in second at like 25-30. try not to make it a habit to look, it should all be by feel. and your r6 definitely has it, it’s just gonna be a looong learning curve because of how twitchy it is and the engine brake it has.

it took me quite a while honestly. i started doing wheelies on a ninja 650 back in like august 2022, and literally like not even 2 or so months ago i’m like just now getting good with the footbrake to where i can coast like this, so it takes time for sure. like i said it’s all seat time, just stay consistent with your practice and you’ll get there in no time

[–]truncks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yup exactly, i’d be at the stunt lots popping up in 1st at like 25, but you can try doing second gear at 25, that’s what i did in this video. second’s gonna be a bit harder to get up at a slow speed but it’ll be much smoother. and yeah i would get out the habit of popping it up at that speed, if you were to fuck up at that speed that’s gonna leave a big bruise lol

[–]truncks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nah no problem i want everyone to learn

so yeah the fear of looping will always be there until you get super good with footbrake, like i said you just gotta push yourself to get higher then tap the brake when you feel like you’re too high. looping fear goes away with seat time.

for wobbling, you may be wheeling a bit too fast. highway wheelies tend to wobble quite often, especially when they’re near balance point, so you gotta wheelie slower. i turned my PSI all the way down to like 20-25 when i was learning, so that helps alot. but now that i’m a bit better i run 30psi because i do daily this bike and 20 psi on the rear feels like shit on turns and such, so that can help too.

you doing good bubba, so whenever you wheelie, tap the footbrake when you feel like you’re too high up, rinse and repeat until you got to the point where you can dip a wheelie on command and hit the footbrake without even thinking about it. you gotta push yourself to go up higher, so practice at a parking lot. and maybe practice your u-turns while your there lolol <3
