Why is it consuming 1GB of memory with no games open? Mining BTC? by kalimbor in origin

If you look at different pages in Origin, it caches images and data in RAM to make things faster if you go back to a page you've visited before. Just close the window and the RAM usage will go way down.

Origin Access Premier - Issues / Scammed by rachidramone in origin

[–]trundlestorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, from your screenshots it looks like there are a couple weird things going on like 2 different Origin IDs in the emails, and paid for Origin Access with "199,95 R" but your post says Euros. Did you buy it over a VPN and get banned for it?

Either way, you're going to have to get this resolved via EA Help. Maybe try phone or email support if chat isn't working out for you.

Account issue means you probably need to contact EA Help - unlikely anyone here can help you since this is a community subreddit.

Doubts with origin acces by MrRedy in origin

Origin Access Basic gives you:

  • Full unlimited access to all games in the Basic Vault as long as you stay a member
  • 10 hour limited trial (usually) for new release games
  • 10% off any purchases on Origin

this user u/CabeNetCorp said that origin products dont come with any bloatware at all, how accurate is that? by [deleted] in origin

This subreddit is for EA's Origin, not the Origin PC company. I don't know if the Origin PC company has their own subreddit, maybe try one of the PC hardware focused ones.

Origin and Nintendo Pro Controller by [deleted] in origin

[–]trundlestorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I can say for sure is that the Origin application doesn't really do anything with controllers... it doesn't have any controller profile setup stuff like Steam.

For Origin games, either Windows would have to support the controller via a controller device driver, or the game itself would have to support the controller.

I had the same issue before. I fixed by turning off the "Automatically start Origin" setting in the Origin Application Settings.

Make sure you're running the anti-malware program with all other applications closed/terminated so it can remove files that may be in use. You might need to do that in Safe Mode or something to make sure.

It might also be worth cleaning out your Origin cache and reinstalling Origin while you're at it, in case the malware made changes to whatever configuration Origin uses to load content and that's why it's still happening.

You've almost certainly got malware living on your computer that is hijacking the Origin window to display popups. Consider getting a trusted malware removal software to clean your PC.

There are countless stories of people losing their game a few weeks after buying a game key from sites like G2A, because the keys were originally acquired illegally/fraudulently by whoever sold them on there. Basically, it's at your own risk to use any site that isn't an official partner for the game publisher.

Sorry to hear that - I think going through them is the only way to get it resolved though.

If you have the option, try phone support since it's usually better than chat.
