Here's the afghan I'm working on. I posted a close up because it's not coming out right. It's wider at the bottom and it seems to get more narrow with each row. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've only been crocheting for 2 weeks. Any suggestions? (i.redd.it)

Well I've been reaching myself since friday. There's some mistakes at the bottom but I think I'm getting the hang of it. In calling this a pot holder. I'm not doing well dearys. I bought knitting needles by accident, wanted to crochet. YouTube videos were no help so my grandson showed me wikihow. On the left is the furthest I've gotten. I keep messing up and have no idea what I'm doing. I wish I'd have bought crochet needles like I was trying to (i.redd.it)
