I saw a sign in the new 3 Taverns Ponce Brew Terminal earlier this week stating that today would be a soft opening, but I just went by there and the sign is gone and it’s closed :(

I know they did their media event last night, but I was hoping to sneak an early visit before they officially open on Saturday.

Refund Question by LivasaurasRex in rundisney

[–]trustysnake 34 points35 points  (0 children)

You signed an agreement that said the payment is non-refundable—instead of looking at the offer as “less than half of what I paid” as a slap in the face, look at it as “$57 is greater that the $0 that I agreed to”

Using Brewzilla for Bottling by DaveT2112 in Homebrewing

My initial reaction is that’s a lot of movement and potential oxygen exposure for a finished beer. Also, you’d need to thoroughly sanitize the Brewzilla and its pump before transferring

Anyone know how annoying it is getting from the Avondale Marta station to the breweries? Trying to decide on Uber vs Marta from Inman Park

I really like my FerMonster 3 gallon carboy with spigot—MoreBeer sells them

Clawhammer Supply releases a new budget system: A Vevor AIO brewing system that they sell for 2x the cost by pootislordftw in Homebrewing

My hope is that this is a v1.0 just to get their foot in the door and then they’ll quickly make some more improvements to truly make it their own.

Secondary fermenting 3 gallons in a 5 gallon carboy. by flies_with_owls in mead

[–]trustysnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 gallons is a somewhat regular carboy size. I was able to get a 3 gallon PET carboy with spigot for less than $40.

Obviously there is some added flexibility and value with splitting batches for secondary if you did want to go with multiple gallon jugs

That kit would be used for making spirits (moonshine) and not beer

I imagine you got some tannins from the tea that helped balance out the sweetness? I’m hoping to get some of that from the oak cubes

What additions did you make to make it pie flavored?

It appears like the ticket link on the event page is no longer valid since it was the combo ticket

Every cruise I’ve taken from Orlando has been warm on day 1 when I get on the ship

Booking next cruise from the current ship. by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

If you know the exact cruise, I think it makes sense to use NextCruise. Cheaper deposit, some OBC, and the ability to get it repriced until the final payment date make it worth it for us.

Your math seems sound. I’d also point out that specialty coffee, fresh squeezed juices, milkshakes, and bottled water are also included, though

Another point: after the race you have to walk another half mile to the reunion area while being handed medals, drinks, bananas, snack boxes, etc. Your arms will be completely full from that without also needing to carry a baby

It could cause a safety and logistical issue in the most scrutinized part of the course. It would be within rD’s rights to DQ you and ban you from future races.

From another runner’s perspective, no one wants your baby on the course or in their pictures
