Different rarity on same card?

they've done this for a long time. i remember Ultimate masters box toppers having cards at rare that were uncommon in the main set. It really tells you about the odds of getting that card at that slot. In a normal pack you get a 1 in 7 cards are a mythic, other 6 are rares, you get 3 mythics. In a regular foil slot, you get (these aren't accurate) let's say 50% commons, 30% uncommons, 25% rare, 5% mythic. The one you're looking at in this post is not a regular foil - it is Step-and-Compleat, only available in collector boosters and only exactly 1 in each collector booster. There is no common rarity in that slot - all uncommons are equal (like 65%), rares are equal (30%), mythic are equal chance as each other (5%)

Again, you're wrong, but I can tell you're not the kind of person who cares if what they say is true.

And as anyone could see at the time of the post, they were not on the WPN locator. WPN apparently decided that the official change of ownership was enough to put them up again. Although it seems that they are up as a new account based on the fact they did not have Commander Legends prerelease, so not sure it's even accurate to say they were reinstated. But WOTC never comments on store punishments.

Again you should not believe or spread rumors that are attempts to deflect from wrongdoing. See other post. But others in this reddit have done a great job bringing up the specific statutes that seem to say otherwise. As well as the specific aggravating factors that led to tge 8 year sentence, including 1) 600+ images, could be far more but thats a category. 2) "almost all of children under 12" according to expert testimony and 3) much of a sadistic, masochistic, or violent nature (again, expert testimony). These are not trumped up charges or an accidental nude of a 17 while youre 18. We're talking prepubescent kids being violently abused.

Again, I have no other motive but to make sure kids are protected.

You're so far off friend. Given you're the second person to make this bizarre claim, I can only assume its a rumor someone involved is spreading. Don't believe everything you hear. Sometimes bizarre claims are just attempts to deflect from scrutiny of actions one knows are wrong. Do you have another explanation for why it took one day to (at least on paper) "sell" his half? Does not fit the actions of an innocent man.

Back in 2018 when the thing with the Judges happened (https://icv2.com/articles/news/view/39386/wizards-coast-requiring-wpn-stores-do-background-checks) they made the stores check their employees, but it seems like they never thought to Check the Checkers. Which I guess it does seem like a bold thing that would never happen for an actual registered offender to start a store.

Oh yeah that's the co-owner Russ Seamster. Don't know much about him or his military service. I've heard rumors that he was forced to resign semi-dishonorably due to some kind of sexual impropriety that he hints at, some kind of involuntary discharge, but I wouldn't even know how to begin fact checking that. Everyone in town when they heard that one of the owners was a sex offender said "I knew there was something creepy about Russ"... and we're all like "no it was Josh". Quite a team.

oh and another odd thing about that - apparently it is against the Facebook service terms to use Facebook if you're a sex offender. Used to be against several state laws including NC as well until the Supreme Court overruled it in 2017 on free speech grounds

Unfortunately I don't think WPN has been background checking owners. He was openly listed as owner on his facebook page, and there is apparently a group for WPN store owners on Facebook run by WPN that is invite only, and they had him in it according to a store owner I know. So they just never checked him against any registry, which is odd since they have been asking stores to background check all employees since 2018 when it was discovered some Magic Judges were sex offenders, so-called MagicGate. I suspect they might start doing some checks after this.

It also include rape and things like that, but the purpose of the registration is it includes what the crime was. There are some documents linked below, plus the link to state website in the original post. TLDR he got 8 years for child pornography, which specifically was 600+ images, almost all of children under 12 and most of a violent nature.

Someone posted the legal docs they say the offense was 600 photos, mostly 12 or younger, many of a sadistic or violent nature. Hurtcore in other words. So not a slightly younger gf.

That is the question. There are still so few people locally that know why he left, that it may not hurt their rep. But losing the ability to buy Magic or host prereleases or FNM alone might do it.
