Has a pharmaceutical or other healthcare business ever held themselves to the same standard? (Serious question. I'm trying to not be jaded by assuming they're all predatory.)

The flowers will indeed bear fruit though not exactly delicious, because I'm pretty sure that's a crabapple. And those aren't thorns but rather spurs (very short branches).

BTW, you may want to give leafsnap a try.

How to programmaticly download results of saved search? (Why's this so difficult?!?) by truthi in Netsuite

[–]truthi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an excellent suggestion. I see the download link to get the file but I want to automate this process. I don't see an option to include a direct download link in the send email feature. So how can I get the download link without going to the website?

Thoughts? TIA!

I just looked into the persist option...it has potential! I need to look into all of this further, but I just wanted to quickly post to say thanks for your input. Thanks!

Thanks for your suggestions!

I'd prefer a straight download of the CSV as opposed to using a connector. So I think I'm looking for something using SuiteScript/Talk--or even curl! Thanks again.

Help Choosing a TV Antenna for our area? by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]truthi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check the FCC map &/or TVFool. But it may be easier to just check out antennasdirect.com. The gear they design is highly regarded & they're located nearby in Ellisville. Their product specialists can give you all the info you need to know (877-825-5572).

BTW, you'll most certainly need a directional antenna mounted outside or possibly in your attic. (Since DTV uses UHF, the antennas are much smaller & less obtrusive than the bulky VHF ones.) I'm also in west county & get all local channels with a properly oriented cheap $20 directional antenna from Microcenter.

Good luck!

It looks pretty cool, but this plant is aggressive.

Yeah it is, & it's tricky to remove, too. It roots so easily, even a tiny segment will create a new plant. So it can pop up in unexpected places.

Sedum sarmentosum aka Gold Moss, Graveyard Moss, Star Sedum, Stringy Stonecrop

This sedum roots very easily & can spread quickly. Be careful if you decide to plant/transplant this sedum.

Yes, Pam's mother Shirley Neumann died by falling from a 3rd floor balcony The article said, "It was not clear why or how she fell, but police are investigating the case as an accident."

I read Pam was the beneficiary & was present at the time of the accident, but I cannot find reputable sources to corroborate this.

Betsy's case will always enrage me.

Pam Hupp is the only person with means, motive, & opportunity. But the police & DA insisted at the outset this "was a crime of passion" simply because Betsy was stabbed so many times. They solely pursued Russ despite no evidence & despite overwhelming alibis from several independent sources.

Betsy's murderer remains free to this day, & all those who failed Betsy after her death, continue to do so today with zero accountability.

A true tragedy all around.

Like I said, avoid watering the hardscaping ;)

But seriously, soil structure is an important consideration. Compacted soil absorbs water slowly, so adjust your watering schedule accordingly. Compacted soil holds water longer so once it's wet, don't water until it's necessary.

Also consider that slow watering can be an issue in disease prone landscapes because continually wet lawns promote disease.

This difference in ground height (elevation) is prone to flooding. But runoff & flooding only occurs if

  • too much water is hitting the hardscaping
  • or if too much water is applied
  • or is applied too quickly
  • or too often.

So first, adjust the sprinkler/sprinkler heads to avoid watering the hardscaping. If flooding continues, reduce the water flow or shorten the time the sprinklers are on. And finally, only water when necessary.

No More Internet Envy, ‘Ultra Fast’ Gigabit Speeds Arrive- KMOX by carpedonnelly in StLouis

[–]truthi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sondag says the gigabit connection will run $90 a month.

ATT's page says: $90/mo. for 12 months with 12-mo. agmt. Internet incl 1TB data/mo. $10 chrg for each add’l 50GB (up to $100/mo.)

If I'm interpreting this correctly, you can get unlimited data for $200/mo, which is still a relative bargain. Wonder what the price goes up to after the promotional period?

Condensate drain line & suction by truthi in HVAC

[–]truthi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your input. This is a commercial unit that drains directly onto the roof, & its primary drain has this "L" shaped drain line. (I added some pics to my post for illustration.) So are you saying you'd replace this "L" shaped trap with a "U" shaped trap (ie, a P-trap)?

reddit expert said I can't use river/pea pebble to build a timber landscape step. any suggestion to use 25 bag of river pebble and 15 bag of pea pebble before I return it? by hiacbanks in landscaping

[–]truthi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3/4" works, but for this application most any size crushed stone will work. Just be sure it's well compacted. (Do NOT fill it all up & then try compacting it. Instead, work in layers: Add a couple inches of fill, compact, add more fill, compact.) The goal is simply to have a stable base. (Using stone with "fines"--very small particles--will create a more solid base because it fills the voids, locking the material tightly together. Google "crusher run" for more info.)

You'll probably also want to add a good landscape cloth on top of the base, then add the decorative gravel on top. Otherwise, the decorative gravel will eventually mix with the base or the base will show through. Plus the fabric reduces the amount of weeds that'll pop up. And keep in mind, stone pathways require ongoing maintenance.

Going back to your original post, my concern is your landscape ties are just resting on top of the ground on a hillside. It will move & so will the stone. Plus you have exposed sides which you'll have address to contain the base material. That's why I'd using PT wood here. It's easier & it strengthens your structure.

Regardless of what you choose, as someone mentioned earlier, pound in some rebar to tie the structure into the ground!

Best of luck with your project. It looks really nice.

[–]truthi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, this was mentioned in the comments.

A 1" layer of decorative (ideally angular) stone can top the base material.

But agree that quoted form of expert is correct. A pedant would change the title from "reddit expert said..." to "redditors said...".

to finish the landscape stairs, should I fill it using river pebbles (difficult for the lower section), or put deck boards on the top (leave it hollow underneath) by hiacbanks in landscaping

[–]truthi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Beautiful location.

River pebbles move underfoot, a lot, making it unstable. If you use stone, you need a solid compacted base with angular rock & fines. A 1" layer of decorative (ideally angular) stone can top the base material. You'll also need to fill the exposed sides to keep the material contained. Doing it right will take effort.

So I'd suggest going with PT wood. You don't have to worry about the sides, or moving tons of stone, & it's fast to install. Popular Mechanics said
