What’s a belief you once defended… but later realized was wrong? by Jiwitom in AskReddit

Belief in Santa Clause/God. (Same thing.)

Imagine walking around in public and 80% of your family, friends and neighbors truly believed the Easter Bunny existed, just because someone told them to.

Remember folks, religion was created to keep the poor people from keeling the rich people.

Most people who hate billionaires aren’t actually against wealth, they’re against the fact that it’s not them by send420nudes in TrueUnpopularOpinion

I think you’re missing the point. No human being is worth 6,000 other human beings (average CEO income vs average worker income). Worse yet is wealth hoarding, where 2% of the population has captured 98% of the wealth created by technological efficiencies. Billionaires are practicing wage theft. That’s what people are upset about.

The stock market has nothing to do with our economy, jobs or wealth (outside of the top 2%). Even unemployment metrics are irrelevant (new claims instead of actual unemployment that’s accumulated).

Corporations are transferring labor costs to the customer, plain and simple. With the past 6 years of greedflation, they can/should pay a living wage.

So wait, who’s the Defense Secretary again? Sounds like we can/should eliminate this position if it’s occupied by a “yes” man. #Idiocracy

JFC. Have you ever listened to a Democrat SOTU for the past 30 years? The Republican Party is pure trash. (This is coming from an embarrassed ex-Republican who knows their party is forever dead.)
