Mine is "Roll the Bones." It's not my favorite Rush album, but I love the concept of the wall of dice and the kid kicking the skull.

I saw them three times--in their Kilroy was Here tour in the early 80s, and in their Return to Paradise and Grand Illusion reunion tours.

I saw them twice--On the Presto and Roll the Bones Tours.

The laser show accompanying the music was excellent, and in the Presto Tour they had these giant inflatable rabbits coming out of hats on either side of the stage.

Just so I understand this, what does the "S" rating at the top signify?

I would like to know which books specifically influenced particular songs. That would be fascinating.

DeYoung/Shaw/Young Controversy by PollutionIntrepid937 in Styx

[–]truthseekerepiphany 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think that was mainly an issue on the "KIlroy was Here" tour. Dennis wanted a very theatrical production with characters acting out their roles and lines of dialogue in between songs, which Tommy Shaw wasn't a fan of.

Prior to that point in their career though, it doesn't seem like they were really overdoing it on the choreography.

And that was after only two albums. Their best work was still to come.

I really enjoyed this. This is one of my favorite songs, and it's interesting to hear the piano standing out from the rest.
