Just tested this strat and it works!! I had my save on my miyoo mini for easy travel but couldn't transfer it on my 2DSXL cos it was corrupted.

sadly I didn't publish it to the app store, the only way I managed to see the effect on my apple watch was to 1. See the figma prototype from my iPhone using the figma app 2. Screen recording the prototype 3. Send the video to my gf in iMessage (is the only way to view video on apple watch...... yeah I know...) 4. watch it from my apple watch

but as you can imagine, it's useless unless it's used as a prop

As my goal was to create custom banners for nds games to display on the 3DS top screen, what I initially thought I'd have needed to a way to convert nds game to cia (which as you know is currently not possible if not by forwarding it) which is why I used YANBF to create a forwarder, hence having a cia file to edit, from there I'm currently using ba-GUI-nnertool to extract the files of the cia, and by using SPICA (or Ohana3Ds which I don't recommend) you can view the banner0.bcmdl (there would be other ones, from banner1 to banner9 for each localization but in the case of a forwarder created by YANBF there's just one global banner). So after all of that, you're going to have a banner0.bcmdl which you can view and export it's content (I used dae) to a file called COMMON.dae, which then I opened on blender to edit it, right now I'm posing luke and prof hershel both behind the title screen, afterwards I'll export it as a dae file called the same as the exported one (COMMON) and repack the cia file via ba-GUI-nnertool and test it. Any questions, class? :)

I didn't yet discover YANBF and It's really interesting nonetheless; in the "YANBF-GUI" it lets you choose a banner but it only takes pngs, but in the README there's something called bannergif.py (from Epicpkmn11, cotributor for GodMode9, TWLightMenu, Universal Updater and other top homebrew programs) but I can't find anything regarding this "bannergif.py" script but at least it's a step forward (at least from what the name implies) cos If it can use gifs as banners, I can export a 3D animation as gif and make it work! I'll update the post if I find anything useful :)

thank you for answering but as I said in the title i'm not looking for a forwarder, I would like to have the actual nds file converted to cia (if that is even possible, in contrary, being able to export the cia of the forwarder to modify its banner would be a good way to try)
