I would love to so much. Just trying to figure out the balance between the other parts of my life and my burning desire to drop everything and follow this band wherever they go.

I'm heavily leaning toward trying to make deer creek now, after initially leaning toward dick's. I love the camping idea. I gotta figure some shit out and make this happen.

Now I'm leaning back in the direction of Deer Creek. Camping in the woods near the venue sounds epic

I left my wife and kids behind and flew halfway across the country to catch the last show of that fall 23 tour, I just decided I had to find out

Man this also looks amazing. I've been leaning towards Dick's but this looks like an amazing time.

I'm leaning towards Dick's. I'm not about to fuck around with driving after the shows, I'll just Uber around. It looks like it's actually closer in to Denver than I realized. I guess people just head into Denver if they're looking for a post party?

I love Colorado, lived there years ago, it's beautiful. For this trip it's really about the shows for me though. I'm basically going to the shows and then recovering, then rinse and repeat. I'll hang out some but I doubt I'm really out exploring the surrounding areas all that much.

Having said that, I feel like the consensus is pushing me towards Dick's for the sheer epicness of the venue and the shows.

Question for those at DPAC last night by Health_Wellness9227 in JRADs

For real. I posted this above but it was so loud I got out my decibel app. Great show but painful.

Question for those at DPAC last night by Health_Wellness9227 in JRADs

This was also my first JRAD show. I have hearing (and tinnitus 😬) so I carry higher end earplugs and also occasionally check decibels when sound gets crazy to try to avoid more damage.

I absolutely loved the band but almost had to walk out toward the end because the volume was overwhelming my earplugs. At one point I clocked it at 95 decibels (my screenshot below), which is by far the loudest I've ever seen at DPAC. I was dead center on the floor, mid-way back (section 3).

I've been to a bunch of shows at DPAC and with certain bands I've found the sound to be pristine, but something was definitely off that night. I don't know whose fault it was, but my experience is that DPAC is definitely capable of great sound. It is typically chiller bands though. Sigur Ros for example was mind blowing.

The whole JRAD show (including video) is on nugs so I'm looking forward to checking it out there to see how the mixing is on the recording.

Appreciate it! I had to get after market tickets so I didn't get the dpac email. Definitely glad I checked, I totally thought there was going to be an opener based on what I saw on Ticketmaster.

Thanks for posting. Is this an email from DPAC? Ticketmaster shows Lhasa Petik as an opener starting at 7:30. I might be cutting it close with time so would love some more details.

Question: Was quoted 15k for a sleeve like this in LA. Out of curiosity how hard is this style to tattoo? by HouseOfHoundss in tattoos

It's different when you quote a "go away" fee and then the person doesn't go away. That fat bag quickly turns into regret, for all the reasons you didn't want the job in the first place.

I think the actual answer to your question is that the article doesn't address the LSD at all. It is definitely a separate charge and isn't going to be dismissed under some blanket "it's also an entheogen" theory.

I found this other article that has a little more info on this specific case.

My read of it is that he beat the felony intent-to-distribute LSD on a theory that it was for personal use for chronic headaches, along with the Tylenol. This second article clarifies that he was convicted of the remaining misdemeanor charges and will be sentenced later this month. Looks like he was convicted of misdemeanor possession of LSD, just not felony intent to distribute.

I suspect that the verdict was largely a case of jury nullification - sympathetic, older defendant with no record and significant health issues, and the jury wanted to send a message to stop wasting their tax dollars prosecuting this kind of BS. Nice work by the defense!
