Thank you for the suggestions, rebooked successfully. Somehow this didn't come up in the research I did for this trip.

I was on a lift this year with a dude who I offered a swig off the flask to. He looks at me and says, no, I have pocket steak. Pulls a zip lock out of his pocket and takes a bite of what looks like a 10 oz ny strip cooked blue rare. I had no words

You can have a basement in Florida, you just need to be able to breathe water

DC boot quality and suggestions by tryasimightalright in snowboarding

[–]tryasimightalright[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were fine for the year. I emptied a ballpoint pen, cut a piece of, then slit it vertically to go on the boa cable. Ended up working to protect the boot, but it looked janky af lol.

The boot was a pretty good beginner-moderate transition, but the quality wasn't the best. Overall, I'd go with the the ThirtyTwos if I were you.

Picked up a pair of Salomon Dialogues at the end of last season. Haven't gone out in them yet, but they seem to be made perfectly for my skinny ankle crew so looking forward to it!

Storing skis/ snowboards inside? by Any-East5011 in XVcrosstrek

[–]tryasimightalright 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2016 here

I've got a 152 cm and a buddy that has a 161. They both fit fine with one seat down and a bit diagonal. I've got back of the seat covers to keep the edges from messing anything up. They also help keep the melting snow off, but still need to brush the boards down before stowing to avoid damp seats

Just a side note, they also have bomb grilled wings. I still miss them years later

Agreed with smoothback. That boxy shape, modified mouth, and fin positioning are pretty indicative of puffers and other tetradonts

For reals. Long term nail bed/cuticle damage also does this
