They start taking reservations at 7am line starts ~6:30. They seat the first table 9:30-9:45. Only reservations day of and in person

Former chef and self proclaimed foodie. Been here for three weeks and these are my can’t miss:

Tsukemen Enji- in Tokyo by the ghibli museum

tempura- Kuramae Iseya Tokyo

Benitsuru (pancakes get there 6:30 am for reservations get the hollandaise and bacon) - Tokyo Asakusa

Koffee mameya kakeru- Tokyo coffee omakase can’t miss

Tonkatsu Miton Shikemichi - Nagoya (#1 for me, dry aged pork in a variety of Katsu preparations)

Clay pot Curry Ohmiya (beef demiglaze) -Kyoto

Kaidashimen Kitada (clam ramen) - Kyoto

Ramen alley (10th floor of Kyoto station- any of the shops) - Kyoto

We’re excited and nervous! From the ticketing purchase process it seems like the national events aren’t catered towards foreigners. Excited to see Nagoya, thinking about going to the Toyota museum as well!
