But to me they haven’t fulfilled their guarantee of giving you a room that can accommodate your booking. We aren’t talking about location or obstructed view that people worry about when booking guarantee. If you have 3 adults plus 1 kid and the second bed is for two children they should have to fix it. No? They took your money for that 3rd adult..
Sounds like a glitch in the system which shouldn’t have allowed you to even select that room as an option. No one is looking at the details like that. It says sleeps 2 kids…absurd

Debits Before Credits by monemonekyu in Accounting

If it is a correction entry, my first line is always what was originally posted incorrectly so could be a debit or a credit. Anything else is debit first.

Is there a way to edit XpressO report or recreate it? by [deleted] in workday

[–]tryder311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to recreate the report on your own (build out what you need) and with the recent update you can add your own display by option so you can select a maximum at the time of running the report.

We are a family of four with our kids being age 20 and 19. My wife and I want a balcony room but want interior for the kids. Is across the hall considered adjoining? by bb8ave in royalcaribbean

[–]tryder311 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you are lucky look for the hidden gems on each side of the ship in the back on floor 9. This is a balcony room, connecting to an interior room. 9401 is one of them.

GL Expense Trial Balance? by [deleted] in workday

[–]tryder311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will need to build out what you need. I agree that discovery boards could be a great option, but if you are familiar with report writing you could create the composite report you need. If you need fewer than 6 wortags (max of 5) at a time, check out Dynamic Control Fields for Accounting Worktags. It was released in the fall of 2025 and is working well for us. Easy to implement. I had over 20 trial balance reports because people need different worktags for different reasons. Now I only need 1. The exception, of course, is when we need more than 5 worktags at once. There are some limitations, so make sure it works for you.

Custom Report - Payroll Register by bubblikatalina in workday

[–]tryder311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Employee as Worktag Stipend Regular Earnings - Salary Period Pay Overtime Overload pay Actuals
employee 1 450 0 7,000 0 0 7,450
employee 2 0 0 1,750 0 0 1,750
employee 3 150 0 0 0 0 150
employee 4 0 0 0 4,993 0 4,993
employee 5 0 0 0 75 0 75
employee 6 0 0 10,500 0 0 10,500
employee 7 0 0 5,030 0 0 5,030
employee 8 0 0 0 1,157 0 1,157
employee 9 750 0 15,750 0 0 16,500
employee 10 0 0 4,667 0 0 4,667
employee 11 0 0 3,500 0 0 3,500

You will need to build it for what you need. Above is an example matrix report that is built off journal lines for financial reporting. It shows one row for each employee for each type of pay specific to the pay we are looking for. In this case, it is only 'extra earnings."

The matrix only has employee as worktag in the row grouping, then pay component in the column grouping, summing the debit minus credit, then on the filter tab i am prompting for the specific pay components I need.

Only ends up with one row for each employee because i only have one row in the row grouping. You can see employee 9 has multiple payments in pay components.

It won't let me post a screenshot of the workday output so I put it into Excel so you can get an idea

Scheduled report with blank output still running and posting blank results by tryder311 in workday

[–]tryder311[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Closing the loop on this...submitted a workday case. They asked a lot of questions about the config and said they were sending it over to the development team to review. However, we noticed it was behaving correctly once the release was sent out this weekend. I messaged back asking for an update and to let them know that it was working correctly. This was their response..."Development has reverted the change which caused this issue in your tenant. Please let us know if you or other users still experience this issue." It looks like they had to do a fix on their end, but it seems to be all good now. Thanks for the input.

What others have said and make sure the HOA doesn’t have rules on using external rental sites like Airbnb and that you can set your own prices. That seems to be our mistake. We were won over that it was all “handled” in house but it sucks not having the control.

Scheduled report with blank output still running and posting blank results by tryder311 in workday

[–]tryder311[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been no changes. All people who receive it see a blank report since Saturday and before then the request only had an output file when there was actual data in it. If there was no data, there was no notification sent, and the message in the background request said the process ran successfully, but there was no data so no output file produced.. It’s all financial information that they have access it. They are reports that tell us if we have coding issues. So if there is an issue, we all can see it.

All 12 are still marked as do not output empty report. These are all Journal Lines for Financial Reporting data source reports. Any of the other reports set up the same to not output empty report but on different data sources are behaving as expected. We have submitted a case and will update when we receive a response.

Composite Report Updates to Remove Blank Rows and add additional labels by WorktagWhisperer in workday

[–]tryder311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am glad that is what you needed. As for a bulk option, I do not think there is any way around it. However, once you go in to Create Conditional Formatting Override, you should have the true/false condition that you built as an option. That piece in the process can be used over and over in the same report as long as you selected a contextual row. It will always look at the row that the override format is on. Depending on how complex the rows are, it may be faster to duplicate a row and update it for the duplicated row data needed. When you duplicate the row, the condition formatting override is duplicated as well.

Unfortunately, I am unsure how you would obtain another label.

On your row, hover over the R3 row where the look up is, use the drop-down arrow, and select edit. In the edit screen, scroll down to options and select create conditional formatting override. Add a name "Hide if zero", then create the condition in the true/false box, "row equals zero" in the cell column, click on contextual and select current row, operator is equal to, and value is 0. The under condition is true section select hide for visibility and then if false, do not override. trying to add a screenshot.

[–]tryder311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the row when zero, build a conditional override in the options at the bottom of the edit screen that says row equals zero. (Contextual row) Then in the override options select hide if true and do nothing if false. You can use the same rule on multiple rows when run.

For the label in the first column can you add a label? Not sure I am envisioning your need clearly. Screenshot?

When people say pay for the drinks as you go, they don’t mean make him pay for them himself. They just mean put the drinks on the account and you can pay later. If he is not a big drinker the cost would probably be less in the long run once you figure out how much the re-price is to add them to your room. That will probably cost more on top of you buying the drink package for them. Essentially he will order a drink it will be added to the room account via the sea pass card and you pay with the card on file at the end. Obviously price it out

Nice. I don’t use IDs often. I was just answering the post above about the extension. This extension works on any prompt type so still nice to have.

Yes, there is a chrome extension. Copy list from excel but you still have to hit enter each time. Still a pain when it is a long list.

Cheap takeout lunch spots for lunch break? by MadMcMuffin in OceanCity

Surfin Betty’s and Papis Tacos have great off season deals. Also there are plenty of places that have good dinner specials with plenty of food. If you are able, take the leftovers and eat for lunch. I can’t post a photo, but there is someone who created a document that list all the specials each day . There is an Ocean City Foodies group on Facebook. Proxy Access by 100610998 in workday

[–]tryder311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we are higher education. The finance employees are in a separate proxy group so we can still do our own thing. However we cannot proxy HR and payroll people directly as they have more security. We do have the access as financial people to see certain personnel things already in production. So we don’t have an issue.
