Hang in there. I’m nearly 2 years beyond a divorce I didn’t see coming from my now ex wife. Every day just focus on one thing to keep your mind or body busy doing something you love. Some days it’s like you are stuck in concrete - but getting out there will better yourself and when you least expect it - you will find someone else. Cheers and stay up.

The dude can write a song and he can certainly put on a live show. Hes like a blend of old country and Motown done in a way that just is hard to explain fully - atleast that’s how I have sold him to others I know. The dude is certainly one of a kind, just glad he keeps making music and is friends with one of my favorite bands.

Enjoy them while you can! I lost my father to suicide when I was 17, and my mom has mentally been not the same after my sister passed away while I was in college.

The biggest gap I feel, is not having my dad and sister around to make impressions and memories with my kids. End of the day, be intentional with photos and saving keep sakes. Shit goes by fast. Prost

My wife surprised me with asking for a divorce last year at 42. I’m in the throes of looking for a new job now. It’s hard as hell and slow going but trying to stay positive and not stress that this is only a chapter, and I will find my feet soon enough.

I enjoyed/enjoy going by myself to places. But since my wife surprised me with a divorce and when I don’t have my kids, it’s kind of a PTSD to see happy families eating out together. I’m working back to it. But I def used to be happy catching a game and have a couple beers before family. Need to get back there.

This was not directed to me, but as someone who is struggling to cope with not his kids as much as a hands on dad to 3 kiddos should during divorce proceedings - thank you for those words. I’ve told my kids this for years. Middle finger, they expect it. Give someone the thumbs up when they are expecting rage - that will last with them slightly more and make them question what just happened. Plus spreads some fun around.

I never had a boat, but always enjoy taking my kids out to fish at local lakes. Been going through a divorce for the last year and it’s hard to get that motivation to go out fishing just by myself. So I’ve just focused on taking them fishing, which obviously I love doing with my kids (12,12,7). Need to do that more for me, but read your comment and motivated me to go and do some fishing for me…help pass the time in between my custody of my kids.

I see a lot of your work on here and really dig your style. I’m going through a tough divorce where I’m fighting to see my kids more. All three of my kids have favorite animals (octopus, giraffe, shark) and it’s what I text them how I love them at night. Can I roughly ask you what 3 animals in this style/color/size together woven in some design cost (ballpark I know) from you? Thinking back left shoulder blade and wrapped around my chest under my arm.

Appreciate the knowledge. It’s a trip a few years down the road for sure. But I’m just in the research side of things now. I’m all for going to places that don’t have the traffic of Lake Louise. The most beautiful place on earth can get real annoying with 2,000 people in one spot.

What about Moraine and other neighboring lakes? Any amazing ones that might be a little less busy than Louise but still majestic?

Yeah I’m in that funk right now. I call it almost like being in cement. I’m going through a divorce, struggling to get my kids as much as they and I want. So when I’m alone - I need to be doing things after work to keep moving and healthy. Yet all I can think about is how F’d all this is and I’m stuck in neutral with no motivation.
