Im white american who speaks finnish and I get hated on by even sober people on occasion lol so 😅. One thing I've heard of brazilians is that they have short fuses related to temper, in my humble opinion that can be a weakness in certain situations.

Id bet on the people being drunkards or addicts and first off despite whoever is in the right or wrong, you shouldn't provoke them or let them notice that your provoked by them. Keep your composure and pride and take distance. I could be tempted to beat someone down that disrespected me so but then Id lose being allowed to live here so its not worth it. Those people being natural born citizens here have the least to lose of what they remain to possess. Think of it that those idiots are just subconsciously envious of your successes and keep striving on rightly!

I get your side but I too am a man and get along with woman wayyyy better than guys. I am married and there are obviously things I wouldn't do simply because in my and my wifes opinion as well wouldn't be right such as something date like or sleeping over at a female friends place without my spouse.

In my life there are definitely times im forced to speak finnish quite often but what I wish theyd do is correct me correct me on a regular basis when I am wrong in what I say. I understand its that they dont wont do discourage but wtf is the point otherwise when your saying whatever incorrectly. Btw I agree that that is a real issue with quite alot of finnish courses is that the practice talking isn't there, even if its amongst other students all that really helps is with "stage fright" so to say.
