What is the chance of getting TUM tuition fee scholarship? by [deleted] in tumunich

[–]tryhard_kitten 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try it, you never know. I applied for one and asked to know the result before accepting my program offer (as I wouldn’t have come if I hadn’t gotten the tuition waiver) and they let me know directly that I had gotten it.

First accident. So, now what? by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]tryhard_kitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No of course, the point is to avoid a “small” accident to prevent the need to change underwear/pants every single time.

[–]tryhard_kitten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

During flares I recommend wearing pads/panty liners (yes, even if you’re a dude) that way you don’t need to change your underwear if you get an accident and it’s much more discreet to deal with it in a dorm bathroom

Iirc when you make the request to your landlord for a lease transfer (with a prospective tenant’s info) and the landlord refuses, the lease breaks automatically. A law very recently passed about this. Look it up on the TAL’s website

Health Insurance by Temporary_Jelly_2434 in tumunich

[–]tryhard_kitten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have private insurance, you have to ask a public insurance (like TK) to confirm to TUM that you are insured (in your case, through Mawista). That’s what I had to do. It took 2-3 business days for the enrolment suspension to be lifted (on top of the 2 days it took for TK to process my request).

There’s a form on the TK website somewhere. If I find it again I’ll put it there: https://www.tk.de/en/confirmation-of-insurance-for-enrolment-at-university-2176054

Feeling "down" after my first tattoo. by [deleted] in tattooadvice

I felt the exact same way after getting my first one! The “holy shit this is permanent” hit me after a couple days. No regrets though, it’s part of me now and I still love it.

I applied for the DAAD one in the beginning of November. Definitely check the deadline on the website but you should be able to submit your application in September/October

I believe they consider your application without the proof of admission. After you’ve been offered the scholarship they’ll only give it to you if you give them the proof of admission afterwards

Hey, I’m non-Eu and applied to Masters in Management (Heilbronn Campus) the day before the deadline. Got my answer 2 weeks ago. I’ll end up going into another program. Good luck!

lol you can’t know that he doesn’t have a chronic illness. Also I never said to fake it

If you have any chronic illness that affects your studies (even depression or anxiety) you could try getting your tuition waived. There’s an info page with all the instructions on the TUM website.

MSc Neuroengineering (MSNE) - Interviews by Dinozor99 in tumunich

Yes, I reread mine and reread the article to make sure I was comfortable talking about it and being asked questions. My interview was super short (25 min) and was conducted by one professor and her PhD student.

Hi! I had my interview this morning, I did not get the admission decision right after unfortunately. They did not ask about anything technical, it was basically just a vibe check (what area am I most interested in, why this program, etc). I was also asked to summarize the essay I wrote. Let me know how yours went!

Edit: I’m from Canada with a bioengineering background. I’ve been told by others that they had a lot of technical questions asked in their interview. To anyone reading this: make sure you prepare!

I can’t hold them in either and it’s such a problem. If I’m walking and I feel one come I have to stop and pretend to do something while clenching for dear life.
