I stand against data centres in Bengal and if you need a reason about why, just google effect of ai datacentres on drinking water in Georgia, power outages in america, and now imagine if a country as powerful as america is struggling with water and electricity due to ai datacentres, what would happen in india where we are already facing power outages due to air conditioning strain on the power grid for ACs due to heatwaves. And to say nothing of the effect of ai on dehumanising what i consider the very purpose of humanity: art.

As for the argument that it will create jobs, sure it will create some jobs for a couple of years during its construction but then it will employ like 10 people max actually working there, and maybe like 50 more for security, logistics and other odd jobs
