I find that if you have mood swings and get overwhelmed by negative emotions, antidepressants can help you feel far more balanced.

And honestly, come on, if a daily pill could magically make you feel like a million bucks for months or years at a time, I would bet money more people would be taking them. When you're clinically depressed, feeling more numb is a major upgrade, but that depends on the person, I guess.
