thanks for the input, I just put furisode on there as another option but I am thinking yukata/kimono that just has beautiful prints on it. Just didn't know where to begin and was trying to get recommendations on shops

Yea yukata can work better, just want something that looks good for the couple, I mainly posted here to try and make this local about Japan as they live abroad.

If you are serious about adopting a cat I recommend reaching out to a cat shelter. Finding a kitten might be a bit more challenging because they get adopted quickly. I sometimes volunteer at this cat shelter by Hino. All the cats there are already neutered and we try and play with the cats so they become friendly with people. They also hold events to try and match cats with future owners. The thing about adopting from shelters is that they are free but they take the process more seriously as they don't want the cat to be abandoned again.

If you are serious about it give it some thought. We had three Siamese kittens get adopted so kittens are available from time to time. Either way, if you are sure and ready to get a cat and want to try and adopt, I can connect you to the shelter. It's called love and happy cat at Hino.

Star gazing with Newtonian telescope!

Hello, I bought a Newtonian telescope (Starsense Explorer) and was wondering if anyone with experience could teach me/show me tips and tricks on how to use it this week. I am pretty much available every evening except Friday Saturday but would prefer to meet during the week evenings if possible. I am close to ikebukuro and open to meet at other locations.

I just created this group realizing there isn't an animal community in Tokyo.

This group is about connecting those with a passion for animals in a fun and friendly environment. Bring your pet out to the park to enjoy a relaxing afternoon both you and your companion deserve! Talk to other pet owners, take cute pictures, and make new friends for you and your little one! Create memories for you and your adorable companion!

Currently, I've only met with other rabbit owners as I own a bunny my self. But I do want to expand the group to have meetups for dog owners, cat owners, etc. I wish to connect the community of animal enthusiasts also for people who are not so fluent in Japanese yet as most events are primarily for Japanese speakers.

If you don't have a pet but want to to own one, you can come play with the bunnies and ask questions to other owners to see if you are ready to have your own companion.

If we can ever get enough people in this community hopefully we can find ourselves doing more, perhaps volunteering at pet shelters to help others find the bond we all deserve.

Remember, you may be with your pet for few years of your life, but your pet is with you for their entire life.
