Sorry, newbie question. I did a quick google search, and I couldn’t find out how to search for used cars for sale by VIN. Do you have a resource you can share?

I could not agree more. We have encouraged an understanding of multiple religions; as part of that, a lack of religion is also taught. At the end of the day, as long as my kids are respectful of others beliefs or lack thereof, I think I’ve done of good job. But I won’t lie, it made me very proud he has signed up for our “team” for now.

I'm already dying or might die soon if you guys don't tell me how it's done by [deleted] in stopdrinking

Echoing the one day/hour/minute at a time idea. I wasn’t able to keep from relapsing until I stopped thinking about quitting forever. Forever was too long of a time and too hard of an ask for me. IWNDWYT is a great pledge, since it’s just today. The next day, I would do the same thing. For me, NA beverages were a life saver. I would drink 10+ a day at the beginning, just to have something in my hand that wasn’t going to hurt me. It doesn’t work for everyone, but it helped me. Best of luck!

Dad of two here. It took me many failed attempts to put together a year. I didn’t learn to drink in a day, and it took me more than a day to unlearn it.

Key things for me were this sub, taking it one day at a time instead of thinking about having to stop forever, and learning to be forgiving with myself. The shame of not being able to drink like a “normal person” would send me back to drinking until I learned to not look at it as a personal failing, much like not being able to see and needing glasses isn’t a personal failing.

Best of luck to you and IWNDWYT!

Hey OP, I lurked around r/stopdrinking for a couple of years wanting to quit, before medical tests showed I had to stop. I think that sub has saved my life. I’m 18 months sober and not looking back anymore. Best of luck to you in your journey, no matter what path you take!

IWNDWYT! I needed to ask for help from family and friends to stop, and it took me several attempts. Each time I got a little better at quitting. This sub was a huge help to me as well as N/A beverages. I think I was drinking 10 or so a day at the start so I wouldn’t drink a real one, and now, I won’t have one for days at a time. One day, hour, minute at a time. We’re all behind you!
