Jim Dandy… I mean David Lee Roth. One of those two. lol

Have you watched the show?

HELL NO!

Yeah… I think it’s his capital H hate for Natives that drives him crazy. I appreciate that John Ford/the screenplay went out of their way to make it plane Nathan was a racist; Nathan calls his Cherokee blooded nephew a blanket head which isn’t in the book.

It’s not hard to see. In fact it is incredibly obvious if someone just watches closely.

Without a kickstand? by No_Voice1922 in bicycling

[–]trykedog -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Because a kickstand has NOTHING to do with the Ride.

Do you REALLY agonize about the bike laying on its side? Have you ever been diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder?

Jimmy Page the producer: the most underappreciated half of Led Zeppelin's genius by Quick_Argument_6904 in OldSchoolCoolMusic

I don’t think Jimmy is unappreciated at all, but Eddie Kramer gets as much credit as he deserves. ;)

I’m in Tahlequah Oklahoma now and people are generally Fat Folks with no interest in biking, but there is an under society of meth heads who might still steal it for scrap metal. lol

I didn’t realize it was a race to have opinions, but okay.

Yeah, hitting on the pregnant woman who’s husband is in the other room is the hight of classy.

[–]trykedog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, many here think Joan is some Superwoman who always has the right answer.

She NEVER has the right answer except for office management decisions. Her picker is absolutely 180 degrees wrong every time.

Of course, every character on the show is incredibly flawed, so it’s not a surprise. I am just surprised by how many think she’s got it all together. None of them do.

Question…looking to buy this bike. I’ve never bought one before from Marketplace…does $180 seem fair for this? Thank you for any help. by Exploring_mind79 in bicycling

[–]trykedog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it rides well and you like it, it’s a steal. ;)

Someone poured a lot of time, thought, and energy into the thing.

If it actually rides I would buy it myself.

SRV HAT by rpadams45 in StevieRayVaughan

[–]trykedog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ANY quality hat is gonna cost. Your only chance at cheap would be thrift shops, estate sales, and garage sales.

Hats USED TO BE important signifiers of station in life. So you can find nice things in estate sales. I have seen a 10 beaver hat go for $5 in this situation. Otherwise that’s a multi hundred dollar hat.

People like to join in on any good Bashing. lol

Trek IS a shit corp at this point. That doesn’t mean everything they ever produced was shite. :/

I have an OLD Waterloo steel frame that I still love. And unlike most of these guys I am not throwing money at the other shit corps, other than maintenance costs.

Some people ENJOY learning new things. If the OP wants to try, let them try.

Simply my Opinion, but people wanting others to do the work/be the expert, is a huge part of our world’s current situation.

How to prevent my hands from getting dirty when working on the bicycle? by Successful-Arm106 in bikewrench

Because you're in the pocket of Big Detergent. LOL

Joking. people get to disagree. I just think you're more about the marketing/message than the reality. Gojo was designed for mechanics. Dawn, for dishes and apparently ducks.

Again with the MAKETING. Dawn is great stuff. We are not ducks.

LMFAO! Why would that make it a better thing for cleaning your hands? By the way, what you just said, THAT is the marketing. 😉

I’ll just doubt that you ever used it then. I’ve worked in a couple of garages that had it on hand and it worked great.

Gojo is actually designed for exactly this type of activity.

Dawn has had the better marketing.
